Medicaid Louisiana Doctors That Are Suboxone Licensed (Page 10)

Updated

I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS " REALLY ......SO I am guessing that he really never gave a s*** about his patients at all because this is a horrible feeling. I would never wish this feeling on anyone. I really need to find a doctor in LOUISIANA south, that will prescribe this medication. Can you please help me?

Contact Dr. Susan Ulrich & Associates in Lafayette, La. Also, Google...."YesYouCan" and that should return results for information to another Clinic very close to Lafayette, La.

Oh, I didn't know that! She no longer has the 3 NP's working in her office who accept Medicaid?

I hear you about doctors and prior authorization. My sister is going through the same problem right now and she's going to end up having to pay cash for her visits with the doctor who prescribes the Suboxone because one of her workers pushed her into getting a different insurance.
I would also like to comment on what you said about the pain medications that doctors are all too willing to prescribe and pain management clinics. Not here! You can barely get any opioids here in Wisconsin anymore.
I am so sorry for the pain You're going through right now. The doctor obviously isn't in it for his patients. That's so darn sad and I wish these doctors would have their license gained for lack of compassion. I've said it before and I'll say it again, what happened to do no harm?

Re: Sherry (# 184) Expand Referenced Message

I believe she was doing crooked stuff under the table so to speak. That's why she jumped and dismissed every Medicaid patient and told us our doctor no longer was employed there. I've read online before where she has had lawsuits in the past and lost the case.

I realize this is an old post, BUT Some docs DO TAKE MEDICAID, BUT EVEN IF YOU PAY CASH FOR YOUR VISIT ( SUBS) YOUR MEDICAID WILL STILL COVER YOUR SCRIPT!!!!

Try kratom. Don’t go back on suboxone. That drug is the devil. I have been off of it for a month and 1/2 and I still feel like crap. Good luck to you!!

Re: Shannon (# 194) Expand Referenced Message

Congratulations to you, my friend as it isn't an easy thing to do. I , too was on Suboxone for many years (too long) and I don't believe Suboxone was intended or designed to have to take it for more than a couple of years but I'm living proof that as long as we believe in our minds that we cannot live without this medication or we will die is nothing more than "stinkin' thinkin' as they say in Narcotics Anonymous. However, I did finally very slowly tapered myself down over the months prior to completely quitting and that's something I never ever thought I could do. And, ya know the addict in me struggled to a fault to refrain from continuing seeing my doctor to get that script placed in my hand every month. It's sickening to reflect and realize how sick I really was. It was just like a ritual to me and I think partially a control issue. I had to really reevaluate my morals and ask my self was I really going to compromise them after finally being able to put the Suboxone down and walk away being physically well in doing so. It's the mental, the emotional attachment I had with this Suboxone. I was taking this medication for close to 12 years. That's just simply absurd, I know. There's so much more I wanna say in hopes to give someone else a glimpse of hope but gonna sign off for now. Again, you deserve a pat on the back & I want others to comprehend it can absolutely be achieved but not until you are sick & tired of the entire addiction and everything else that comes with it.

Re: KimF73 (# 195) Expand Referenced Message

I agree. You really have to want to be off of it. Yes it makes you feel better. Yes I would rather be on drugs because of that fact alone. But being trapped in the long run is expensive, I’m sure there are many health risks for long term users and you become just so dependent on something so evil! That’s why I turned to kratom powder. It 100% helps with withdrawals, pain and mental needs. Some give you energy, some relaxation, pain management, and some even a euphoric feeling. It has been a real life saver for the moment. Especially while I detox. I’m breaking out, I’m getting BO, I’m gaining weight. I never had these problems on drugs. But my doctor said he hasn’t met anyone that got off drugs that didn’t gain weight and detox. But the kratom is a food suppressant. So for now it’s better than the suboxone. ANYTHING is better than that wonderful little happy pill

Re: Shannon (# 196) Expand Referenced Message

You know, for several years now, up until maybe 6 months ago I was so very curious about Kratom. I researched & read the results Google produced a million times it seems like and I have also read many, many great reviews on Kratom, as well. However, even though I wanted to try it and love it so badly for several different reasons, I, each time attempting to order it, would not & could not press the button to place my order. To be honest, something scares me about Kratom. It's just several different reasons for that but, I'm very happy to hear that it appears Kratom has done wonders in your life and probably on many different levels. I do continue to read up on Kratom occasionally but at this point, can't think of an honest reason to be needing it anymore. So glad it's been so beneficial to so many people struggling with addiction.

That’s great. If you are happy where you are, that’s wonderful. I hope I can get there. I’m just so tired all the time. Even if I get enough sleep. I hate being tired. I can get nothing accomplished.

Re: Shannon (# 198) Expand Referenced Message

Exactly how long have you been consuming Kratom? Also, I'm curious to know in what form & strain do you use? Is it expensive? I'm quite positive Kratom contains several components that has produced this great product they call Kratom. I have just too many questions , I know and I apologize. It's true I'm free forever & always from depending on Suboxone but that doesn't mean I just feel so amazingly wonderful everyday. Believe me when I say......I need Motivation, vitamins, a lot of energy and I need more sleep!!

Re: KimF73 (# 199) Expand Referenced Message

Don’t apologize! I take all different ones. Mostly white. If you have any shops by your house, go in and look. Also you can order off the Internet since you can get it delivered. I can’t, as it’s banned in my town. So dumb. So I have to go to Missouri. But my favorite is white horned maeng da. Really good energy! Whites and greens are the ones I get. Reds are mostly for relaxing and sleeping at high doses. From the place I get it from, you can get 30g, 75g and more. They have capsules and powder. I prefer the powder. I put it in a shaker bottle with the little ball in it. You can mix it with anything. OJ is probably the best. It has a very distinct taste, you gotta get used to it. But you start small. 1/2 a teaspoon. It’s best to do it on an empty stomach then if your hungry eat like 45 min after. Some people say they don’t get the same effects when they eat first. I don’t have a problem, it just takes longer to feel it. For 2 75g bags it was 120$ and I got a 30g for free. I get points with every purchase. I take it 3 times a day. It may be cheaper where you are. Also go online and ask google the top online vendors. I really wanna try a few but I’m scared to have it delivered since it’s banned. I think the FDA banned it because it does help people and that hurts the pill pushers. I know a lot of people who weaned themselves off of years of heroin, pain pills, methamphetamine and more with this and it works. Now with that being said. You can get addicted. It’s comparable to coffee. It is leaves from trees so nothing is added. You just need to take breaks. Like a couple days on and a day off however you wanna do it. And don’t mix it with other Street drugs. Anything is addictive. Coffee, soda and so on. Same thing. It’s a plant. Like I said whites are my go to and some greens. I also like to mix different ones together. Look around and the ones your interested in let me know and I will tell you how they are!
