Losarten/heart Attack

I have been on 100mg/day of losartan that I take 1/2 a pill twice a day for 6 months or so. The last 2 months I have experienced heavy heart palpitations, skipping beats etc directly after taking pill. I literally feel like I'm in the middle of a heart attack. Kidneys also hurt directly after taking losartan and urine is very yellow. I recently did not take it for a 3 days and felt much better but I started it up again due to the fear of heart trouble that I am not aware of. All of the above symptoms returned with a vengeance and now I am back to feeling close to death all day long...any suggestions?

Have you had this checked out by your doctor, yet?

There are several issues that could be causing this, according to the NIH. It could be due to medication side effects, it could be due to dehydration, it could be due to a drop in your potassium level, or a combination of all 3.

However, regardless of what is causing it, you should have this checked out for your own safety, because any, or all, will need medical treatment to correct. The final solution may even be that you need to switch to a different medication.
