Long Island Dermatologist That Accepts Medicaid
UpdatedI'm having a very difficult time finding a Dermatologist that accepts Medicaid. I live in Western Suffolk County and will even travel to Nassau County.

Hello, Pat! How are you?
The best idea that I can offer you is to call the NY Medicaid recipient number and see if they have a listing for one in your area that accepts it. You can reach them at 800-541-2831.
Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?
Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they may also be able to refer you to someone that accepts it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try!
Pat
Very welcome! I hope you find the help you need! Post back and keep me updated, thanks!
Hi Pat, I am going to let you know that unfortunately, no matter how great or lousy your insurance is, suboxone doctors will only deal in cash. I have researched this for a very long time. I also know that methadone clinics keep people on for decades while our youth are waiting, waiting to get clean and want to so badly. Currently there is a wait list for just 4 methadone clinics on Long Island suffolk county and there are 2500 people waiting to get on. Suboxone doctors start at $250-$500 for the first initial visit and then after that they give you one weeks worth and the next week you pay half the price of the first visit and they may give you the months worth or just the second week. It's a rip off and they are the same devils as the dealers. If you have folks or a good friend that can help you pay $1000 for the shot called VITROL OR VITATROL, this would be a good thing. Unfortunately it may not be something you can do. Soon, this summer, we are going to demand the legislature give out the shot or the suboxone. They give free birth control, but you rather have dead bodies and not stop that than do what's right for the people who really want to quit badly. I hate all you pigs in Suffolk county Long Island because all you do is talk about it and put a news item on channel 12. Take your news and shove it, for we all know the damage illicit drugs are doing at this very moment.
Call the commissioner's office that runs medicaid and tell them they have to provide you with a doctor's name. 631-854-9883
Re: THE RAVEN (# 4)
Raven, Pat was looking for a dermatologist, not suboxone, lol. A big difference. I think you might have clinked the wrong link.
And regarding Suboxone, Not all doctor's want cash! There are quite a few who go though medicade insurance, you just have to look! I know this because I go to one.
