Lo Loestrin Fe Exreme Period Pain And Bleeding

I’ve been on Lo Loestrin for almost two months which was prescribed to me because large amounts of hormones make me very depressed. ive experienced extreme mood swings, daily cramping and bleeding, anxiety attacks (which ive never had before), and overall discomfort. i was happy to find that my first period was very light and had little to no cramping since my normal periods are very heavy and painful. however, the second period was extremely painful with nonstop cramps and heavy bleeding, is this normal? will my periods be this heavy from now on? and if so, should I switch to another form of bc?

While cramping and bleeding can be normal side effects, according to FDA reports, they should not be that severe, so yes, you may need to try a different brand of hormonal contraceptive. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood changes.
