Lisinopril Tablets (Page 4) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have been taking Lisinopril 20 mg from manufacturer Lupin for years. My most recent renewal was the same color and Lupin on one side and 20 on other but the pill is half the size of the one I have been getting. Still says Lupin but I am concerned. Anyone notice the difference?
I take 20 mg licinopril twice daily, took one this morning noticed a little difference took second one tonight, fell really weird, tingly and itchy, light headed, says same thing Lupin on one side 20 on other side but pill is much smaller, im not taking it anymore until I find out what's going on, why can't they just leave well enough alone, ive been taking this for 10 years with no problem and now this
Been taking 10mg of lisinopril for more than 15 years. My last refill came half the size of my previous order and I've been feeling lousy for the past 2 weeks. All of a sudden my normal pressure is now off the charts. Something is very wrong. Have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and plan to get off of these pills.
PS: I have reasonly lost 20 lbs which should have helped lower my pressure not elevate it.
We should all call Lupin and express our side effects and adverse reactions. Flood them with calls. There is power in numbers
this is not correct. Kroger pharmacy gave me the smaller pills also 20 mg. Same color same numbers on pill. They said they must of removed fillers to save cost. I have taken 3. Second day started with nausea, or heartburn. Still have it today. Calling pharmacist
To all those taking the new smaller Lisinopril 10 or 20 mg They changed the pill We all are having problems since they decided to save money and reduce costs They can swear on a stack of Bibles but they changed it and we all are experiencing it Time to change to a different BP pill There are certainly enough of them on the market I am now going with Losartan 50mg twice a day Not doing the job that Lisinopril did but what choice do I have
Don't be a drama queen Barry, your speculation is without merit or manufacturing knowledge. stop trying to scare people. This is no big deal, and NOT causing symptoms.
When the medication size changed I received a pamphlet when I picked up my new scripts telling me of the change. Also said be assured it's the same medication. I also spoke to my Cardiologist about it, he too said it's still the same exact medication. I go to Johns Hopkins Hospital It's a pretty notable Hospital worldwide with top notch Dr's.So I'm pretty sure those that are having symptoms it's not from the change in shape of the same medication and you should make an appointment to go get checked by your Dr.
Since they changed the formulation of Lisinoprol, I started having side effects. I took the new formula for 5 days and then called the doctor's office. My doctor switched me to Losartan 50 mg and it caused swelling of my feet ankles and left leg. Also caused extreme weakness. Had to start taking a diuretic for the swelling. BP was a lot higher so I was switched to ANOTHER medication Norvasc 5 mg. Not tolerating it well either. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE all because Lupin changed the formula. I feel horrible and my energy is non existent.
In follow up to my original oat on July 8, I did call Lupen Pharmaceutical Co the following Monday. I discussed with them the symptoms I had experienced as well as the local pharmacy not informing me of the manufacturer's change. The company appreciated my input , but had no explanation for the adverse reaction. They assured me that the only change they made was making the pill smaller by removing some filler ingredients. Further, I am glad to report that the symptoms of sleepiness I experienced in the beginning have since subsided.
I am having stomach fullness and distress taking the new smaller lisiniprol 10 mg pull
This new pill with some of the binders (inactive) ingredients has changed the way my body is responding. My gastric system has been affected with bloating and gastric upset within 24 hours of taking new smaller size lisiniprol 10 mg. It's not in my head. I've been on the larger pill size for five years and never had a problem.
I am also having issues which I never did until I took the new prescription, called pharmacy and they gave the same song and dance, but this will be coming out and I will be giving Lupin my hospital bills.
I had the same experience. I was able to switch to taking two 5 mg tablets. The 5 mg tablets have not changed at this time. My pharmacist and physician were both able to work together to get the rx changed. It may be worth an ask. I felt better almost immediately. Hope this helps!
Has anyone noticed a health change after taking the new smaller lisinopril pills? Such as psi going up?
Please let me know what you find out from the company I am a PCA for my grandmother and noticed with the smaller 10 mg pill she has been more tired lately I don't know if that's because of medication pill size change or something different? She's 96 years old so it really concerns me!
Thanks I really appreciate your response as to I felt something changed besides the size because my grandma had never been this tired! Anyone else notice tiredness with new smaller pill? Thanks
Yes I have been taking the new size for 3 days and do not feel the same...I have a headache buzzing in my head and feel funny.
My husband and I are taking lisinopril but I take 10/12.5 and he takes 10mg's. I ran out of mine. Would it be safe for me to take one of his?
Not safe if his pills are the new smaller version from Lupin
Yes, I take mine at bedtime...I still feel tired in the morning, have no energy..With the regular size lisinopril I did not feel this way...I have been on regular size
for more then 10 years. Never felt this way until they changed the size....
