I have been taking Lisinopril 20 mg from manufacturer Lupin for years. My most recent renewal was the same color and Lupin on one side and 20 on other but the pill is half the size of the one I have been getting. Still says Lupin but I am concerned. Anyone notice the difference?

Barry. So far the 5 mg has not be altered. Instead of taking the new 10mg my doctor and pharmacist changes me to two 5. It is working the horrible gastric upset and bloating and gas has all gotten under control

No the 10/12.5 has a diuretic in it the regular 10 does not....check with your dr.

Marlene. I was forced to change to Losartan 50 mg but am not tolerating it as well as Lisinopril 20 mg which I took for years

The active ingredients supposedly the same but by taking out three of the inactive ingredients changes the molecular compound and what the inactive ingredients may have done helped people tolerate the active ingredients for digestion.

Agent J. They changed the pill to smaller version in 2017 so your statistics don't hold water. You are the only one out there denying the problems. Are you a pawn for Lupin Pharm?

They are made with some of the inactive ingredients missing now and for those people with digestive problems those inactive ingredients could have been buffers for the gut and helped them tolerant the active ingredients that are still there

Your really quite annoying. Not just a handful having problems according to medical department large amount of people having issues. Who are you anyway to toss it around like it's nothing

maxthecat gets it. 120million prescriptions for lisinorpril were filled in 2016.
I will be watching CNN for breaking news on this hazardous reformulation that 1 few dozen people are complaining about.

not really Found pharmacists don't really know what happened with the new smaller pills I have asked many and they are completely in the dark Pls read posts from your fellow users to get the story

Pharmacist says always check the NDC number on bottle. Then look it up under pill image ID.. I did that. These smaller pills are exactly the same medication, just in a smaller pill.

Barry keep on talking. I had horrible side affects with new size pill. The manufacturer actually had me return some of mi e from the batch I got to be anaylized. Agent J you are wrong. Just because you have no ill affects even the medical dept at the pharmaceutical company says they are getting a good number of complaints

Yes, I take mine at bedtime...I still feel tired in the morning, have no energy..With the regular size lisinopril I did not feel this way...I have been on regular size
for more then 10 years. Never felt this way until they changed the size....

My husband and I are taking lisinopril but I take 10/12.5 and he takes 10mg's. I ran out of mine. Would it be safe for me to take one of his?

Yes I have been taking the new size for 3 days and do not feel the same...I have a headache buzzing in my head and feel funny.

Why mess with something that works for people and has been used for years. If it aint broke, don't fix it. Bottom line is they want to reduce costs and make more money but screwed up the balance of the Lisinopril

It's not that they changed ingredients but that they removed inactive ingredients that could possibly be buffers to the medication being tolerated.

Tiredness and sore muscles are the side effects I am having. Never had it before and it started with the new pill. After the effects started, I looked for a posting board and found this one. Lisinopril is not the same as it used to be from my experience.
