i have same pill. cannot find name either. have you found out what it is? thanks.
EP 132, a light green pill is Librax or Clidinium, its used or anti anxiety and sometimes for stomach ulcers, as it relives stomach muscles.
It is Generic for Librax®, (Chlordiazepoxide HCl + Clidinium HBr). It's Strength is 5mg/2.5mg. It is a combination of a benzodiazepine called Chlordiazepoxide Hydrochloride, similar to (Xanax® or Valium®), but also contains an anticholinergic Clidinium Hydrobromide which is used for stomach ulcers and to relax digestive tissue muscles. The Chlordiazepoxide HCl is an off-white bitter crystalline powder, and also can have an addiction potential, so be careful. The Symbol EP, It is made by United Research Laboratories/Mutual Pharmaceutical Company. (BTW, This Medicine Contains the lowest dose of Chlordiazepoxide HCl, compared to Librium® capsules, which comes in 5, 10, and 25mg capsules, which does not contain Clidinium HBr or any other drug. (Clidinium HBr has no known abuse potential). -Kyle
I couldn't find information on this, either, so we really appreciate those who posted letting everyone know what it was.
Librax® = (Chlordiazepoxide HCl + Clidinium Br. I MEANT Bromide (Salt form) not HBr Hydrobromide, sorry, just Bromide (Bromine is a Non-Metallic Element, and bromide is an amide salt of Bromine). Chlordiazepoxide HCl, which is Librium® is for Anxiety, Clidinium Br is used for gastrointestinal spasm by slowing it down, like IBS (Irratible Bowel Syndrome). Diazepam which we know as Valium®, is Chlordiazepoxide's most Active Metabolite, and Diazepam is twice as strong and much longer acting, in fact is the Second longest acting benzodiazepine, the first being Dalmane® (Flurazepam), which is used for sleep, and is not prescribed as much anymore, even though it comes in a form with Ibuprofen (Ibuprofen + Flurazepam), called Flurbuprofen®. Not sure if there are generics for it or not. I have taken Flurazepam, and it is long acting, but it isn't anywhere near as potent as benzodiazepines such as Restoril® (Temazepam), Klonopin® (Clonazepam), Ativan® (Lorazepam), or even Xanax® (Alprazolam). I take Clonazepam 2mg, 6x daily, which is a lot, and the only Nitrobenzodiazepine on the US Market, it's almost identical to Rohypnol® (Flunitrazepam) aka Roofies in chemical structure. Just pointing it out there... -Kyle
