Kvk Tech Oxycodone 30 Mg (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Updated

Regarding KVK Tech oxycodone 30mg / K-9...Garbage! I have serious pain from two separate problems. Bottom line is Walgreens switched from Activis to KVK recently and I noticed the difference within one day, pain waking me more than usual and early withdrawal sensations. I should add that I don't misuse or abuse, all I want is pain relief. I'm fed up with fighting every step of the way to manage my pain (resulting from injuries sustained as a firefighter/medic and a connective tissue disease) Thanks to the war on drugs and so many people overdosing, the government has the doctors and pharmacies all running scared, etc.. So people who are legit and truly suffering every day are screwed. Seems like they forgot about us. I wish these people AND the addicts/abusers could feel what chronic pain is like.... 24/7! Avoid this KV if you have real pain issues and are prescribed 30 mg oxy.

Armando,
I would definitely stay with the small pharmacy that has another brand, rather than the KVK Tech. I've said it loud about what garbage I find their oxycodone to be. It absolutely doesn't work in controlling my pain and I have horrible side effects. I make a 70 mile trip to an independent pharmacy where I can purchase something other than KVK Tech. Good luck, let me know what you decide.

Lostcause,
KVK Tech products are worse medication I have ever taken in my entire life. I drive my 70 mile trip every month so that I have a choice in what I purchase to put into my body. If I had the money I would put on a TV ad to let everyone know how bad their products are.

Well....Thank goodness. ..I knew something just wasn't right when I was still in pain and my nose started running a lot. Now I'm going through withdrawals... yet taking my meds as prescribed. Happy to know it's not just me. This really pisses me off!! And there's nothing I can do about it until next month. Tylenol works better than that crap!! Yeah...and I so agree with you guys. ...we're paying for nothing! Someone is making a killing off of us because I get the 15 mg and there might be 5 mg in them. Now I'm getting sick. My chronic pain issue is not a joke! This is not funny. Well.....I'm calling the pharmacy in the morning to tell them what they are putting me through. At least get it off my mind. And then Monday I'm calling my doctor. This happened last month too but I just Suffered through it. Yeah and this is a " mom and pop country drug store". What can they do ? At least they'll know I'm pissed. Oh I am pissed!! 3 more damn weeks of that Baby aspirin...and lots of pain. They got that money so they probably don't even care. Seems like they'd take what's left and give me something real. I take opana too...brand though so it's real but I still need my instant release meds. I will surely ask in the future and go to ....wherever ...to avoid KVK Tech Oxycodone. Pitiful excuse for medication. I hope they fail big time for this mistake.

kvk 15 mg 8k is the worst med. I have ever taken. First, pain patients undergo major scrutiny to simply get their legal prescription filled for pain. Walgreen has an internal policy which you can view, posted by a former Walgreen employee. After waiting 5 days to get it filled, I ended up with this low grade KVK oxycodone which does not control the pain. Moreover, the side effects of early withdrawal feeling, sweating, then freezing..agitation, and itching is unbelievable. I did a little research on the cost of different oxycodone that is listed by Purdue for Vermont pain patients which the legislature made a requirement to be posted. KVK tech's oxycodone costs 75% less than Purdue's. 100 cost $189.00 whereas Purdue's 100 15 mg oxycodone cost $489.00. So you can see...Walgreen gets what it paid for, yet patients are made to suffer. I am going to check how much Walgreen charged my insurance company. Dispensing low quality meds. to unsuspecting patients is unethical. They claim it is the same thing...if it was there would not be such price disparity. I am not sure what we can do collectively to get quality meds. dispensed on time without hassle.

Marathon Row
Thank you for the info. I have been so frustrated over this KVK Tech mess and the pharmacies ripping us off. Not just that, the fact that the pills don't stop pain, and have such horrible side effects.
An employee of Walgreens told me that they paid "pennies" for these poison pills, but I don't think that savings is being passed on to my insurance company when I get stuck with KVK. I do know that they were not cheaper for me, in fact more expensive than the others, when I was paying out of pocket.
If you get any more figures, I would be greatly interested in what you find out. I would think it's illegal to charge insurance companies as much or more than a decent medication, especially when we the patient are being made to pay the price for the corporate greed.
Safeway and Kroger got a huge deal from KVK also. So they making "a killing" also. I would be greatly interested in knowing how many other pharmacy chains are doing the same horrible thing to their customers.

Can I ask how you are doing? I read your post and it sounds like my life. I have a connective tissue disorder, Ehlars-Dan Los HD type III. I was in the military for 10 years and did some heavyduty craplease and heavy load deployments, training...etc etc.

the VA doctors give me so much crap for me taking 20mg a day. I hurt very bad and is not my fault either. I do not abuse my medicine.

However I've decidedone to wean myself recently so I don't have to deal with it anymore. You would think these doctors would be grateful for the services we have done for our country...

I'm going to get approved (not by the VA) for the medicinAL option. .. and then they can kiss my butt.

I've cut just a bit of my dosing and I'm itchy...hot flashy, stomach is acting up. Ugh. It stinks but I don't want to take them anymore if it's going to cost me my dignity. ...I hope you're well...

I am getting sick n tired of having to ask every time, "which brand are they (oxyIr)." Because, I realize now it's all about money. Always asking if they (corporate pharmacies) have Qualitest", makes me feel like a junkie. I am no junkie, I am freaking suffering. I do not want medicine that does not work. Sure I have to travel quite a few miles. I plan too from now on, because, I went through everything that all have posted. I feel sorry for you all, and one day surely it will be fixed. I hurt right now, yet I have to get up in the morning and go to work. Congressmen, Dr's, and a petition, plus all of us may be the requirements to get these corporate thieves eliminated. Whatever must be done, I AM GAME!!

while in the pharmacy, the Pharmiscist came up to the window and said I will have to call your Dr to check? On your medication of Oxycodone so loud that people in line heard this.. I would think this is a danger to me! for Pharmiscist to speak so loud?? People are getting attacked all the time! They are at fault in blabbing what was being filled for me.. Had to be 10 people plus that heard her.. Will report this to manager.. Doubt if he will even care. About me and my safety and who follows me out the door..after hearing this loud mouth tact-less, mean, lady announce what was being given to me.after all, they should use the privacy booth for that and they have that closed up..off tothe side in a low voice.. Told my man this he's going to call the manager and report pharmacist..

The Oxycodone I get from our Walgreens in S.E. Wisconsin is Mallinckrodt. I take the 5 mg. immediate release and am allowed 120 tabs/month. That costs about $120.00. God forbid that I bring in a prescription even one day early - I had a pharmacist at Walmart accuse me of being a drug addict in front of everyone in the pharmacy.

Kvk tech is garbage they put you to sleep after 30 min. And no relief. I have tried a different type and can tell the difference. They need to be in the street card game not legitimate medical business

Yes, you are absolutley right. KVK TECH OXYCODONE 30 MG (K9) pills are absolute Garbage. I do not beleive they are putting enough of the active ingredient (Oxycodone) in their pills, I strongly beleive it is mostly fillers/binders. The issue here is that ALL the pharmacys are switching to this brand simply due to the fact that KVK TECH is "undercutting" the other legitimate manufacturers in their pricing bids. The way they are able to undercut the competition by so much is because they are using 1) Either the absolute "bare minimum" of oxycodone as required by the FDA to be legal, OR 2) They are using Under even the bare minimum required amounts and getting away with it as the pill strength is not evaluated but every now & then. And to be quite honest I strongly beleive it is the fact they are using under the required amount of Oxy per the FDA and they are getting away with it. By using less active ingridient they are able to offer these pills at a HUGE discounted rate to the pharmacys therefore beating out their competition. There is complaint after complaint from people all over the internet stating this brand of pills DOES NOT WORK and they are clearly not effective for controlling pain. I am in withdrawls since getting a different brand that actually worked last month, only to go this month and the pharmacy filled my rx with this garbage again. Obviously I am now in withdrawls due to the fact the other brand I had received the month before had more oxycodone in the pills. This is absurd that manufacturers can get away with using different amounts of the active ingriedient and they are not being checked or tested regularly enough by the FDA. I urge people to file complaints against this manufacturer. You can go to KVK TECH website and click the email address to file complaints, also you can file a complaint directly with the FDA, and also let your pharmacy know these pills are ineffective. This needs to be stopped ASAP.

Hi Lumbar disaster, you have a very good description of what some of my pain is like. You are absolutely right that no one who isn't chronically in pain understands what we face EVERY DAY. I even have had family members say "take another pill" when there's something I am unable to do. It's not that easy. One of my friends has the Opana and is very satisfied with the results he's having. He too was a KVK Tech Inc. victim and though he didn't actually get a bladder infection, he did have the kidney backache and was having to urinate constantly, he did have the headaches, all over body aches, no pain relief, horrible mood swings that went away completely when he stopped the KVK Tech Inc. Oxycodone. I don't know if because I am female, I got the full blown reoccurring bladder infections, or if my bladder is just weaker, but treating the bladder infections did not help until I stopped the "poison pills" then was able to clear up the bladder infection. Also I never had bladder infections until using their product. I found a small independent pharmacy that carries ZyGenerics products and that is where I am purchasing the Oxycodone that I use for break through pain. I find that keeping some sort of balance to my medications, activities and a very plain routine, is the only way I can function. Every little change seems to throw me into a state where I can't function. Do you know if this is normal for chronic pain people? I am relatively new to the whole chronic pain world and am consistently searching for ways to function as normal as possible. I don't want to spend my life doped up and in bed. Any little tricks that you have, that work for you? Back to the "poison pills", I think it's just plain greed and nothing to do with stopping illegal drug use that they are selling an inferior product. The lip service is out there about the doctors not prescribing Oxycodone as often, but the legal oxycodone industry is a multi billion dollar a year industry and they don't want to kill the golden goose. The cost to these retailers for these inferior pills, was so much lower, they don't care if we suffer or not. They believe that we have no alternative place to purchase a better product, or that as we are sick, we won't go through the effort of driving further and shopping around. I have had a problem with these pharmacies "writing with an ink pen" on my prescription when I bring it in to ask if they have some manufacturer other than the KVK. I don't know if it's a nationwide rule?, but if they write on the prescription here, no other pharmacy will fill it. So it's then bother my doctor or purchase what they give me. I have had them actually lie to me, say they have another manufacturer and then receiving my prescription it's KVK. Again it's bother my doctor or purchase that product. Has that happened to you? Those sort of business practices, tells me they definitely know they are pushing a poor product.

Lumbar disaster, just wanted to say that I noted in your May 12th post that you mentioned "fighting every step of the way". I am relatively new to the chronic pain world and it seems that the fight for everything, pain relief, assistance, understanding, fighting my body, all is a huge battle. Is this feeling due to the pain levels or is everything really this big a fight? I say relatively new, I have had chronic pain since 2000 but it has progressed. It's been 4 or 5 years since I reached a point I could no longer deal with the pain without help. Then fortunately about 3 or so years ago, I was given a doctor who did start me on meds, no one before even told me there was meds that would help me with my pain. Any suggestions on how to deal with the pain, and how to function as normal as possible would be wonderful.

Lumbar disaster, #2 post, I was recently prescribed Lyrica for Fibromyalgia pain (Fibromyalgia is one of the pain conditions I was told I have). I haven't began taking it as I've heard some people have icky side effects and no real pain relief. Have you heard about or used Lyrica? Lyrica falls into what I call a "designer" drug that I feel little is known about long term usage. Any info at all on this?

OMG ! I don't know where to start with so many topics and many are really important. The "doctor" who cut your oxy by 60mg per day, put you in some level of withdrawal for no good reason, you should have been tapered much slower. The best part is this cowboy doc had no real good reason but sadly that's the way they are being taught vs. the propaganda of 20 years ago when the belief was that NO ONE should suffer pain this day in age ...and they handed out opioids like M&Ms which I think still would be ok if not for all the abuse and H addiction which many believe is traced to opioid PMs.

Are you sure your Oxymorphone ER is a generic ? I could swear Opana was still under patent. The ER meds I mentioned are very hard, plastic like pills that are intended to prevent abuse and they turn into a sticky mess when wet with water ( I could care less, that's for the scum addicts to deal with). As for the fibromyalgia meds they really don't receive great reviews. The advertising has even shifted toward ' diabetic nerve pain' ....just watch the ads during the evening news for Lyrica ? Cymbalta I do believe was marketed as an anti depressant (it's a SNRI., selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor)

What I'm saying is yes, it's all about big pharma making big $$ The drug flops as an anti depressant or fibro medication, so lets feed it to them as something else ! Another side effect of those products is all the fun getting off of them ! Nothing like the sensation of big static like shocks and pre seizure. ANd like I mentioned, nightmares ? Very vivid and horrible along with sleep paralysis for months after.
Metoprolol is generic Toprol. I take it for arrhythmia (PVC's PSVT) and I swear the generics suck as do many others who use it for such
To be continued !

Lumbar disaster, Hi. Did you reach a decision about starting the Enbrel? How are you doing with stopping the prednisone? What's the relationship with doctors and pharmaceutical sales people? My other half is diabetic and just started a new drug that his doctor said the sales person was pushing and we would give it a try. Are doctors getting football tickets for prescribing new drugs? LOL

Lumbar disaster, I was having trouble understanding the difference in the words generic and substitute when talking with the insurance company. The Oxymorphone that I was given, may be a substitute not generic for Opana, and that's why they won't pay for it again. You are probably right that Opana doesn't have a generic. I've been taking the "real" Opana for several days now and it's really hard for me to believe, but I actually feel even better. But I am having sleep issues, big time. I am so sleepy but when I do sleep, there's really vivid dreams and not sleeping over an hour or so at a time (again LOL), but that could be my FM.

Lumbar disaster, Sept of 2011 I started with an irregular heartbeat. Is that arrhythmia? I'm irregular in the upper chambers. That's why I take the Metoprolol. I used an at home monitor then I had a stress test at the cardiology specialist, but as I couldn't run on the tread mill fast enough or long enough for the pictures they wanted, they gave me medicine that causes your heart to react as if you're running. The Metoprolol has (except for 1 brand) kept me beating regular and feeling OK. I'm going to give this some attention now, because I'm tired of the brand being switched constantly. I don't see the need in constant change with the brand of my medications. Especially now that I'm aware that there is such a huge percentage of legal difference between brands.

Lumbar disaster, I ask so many questions at once, I know it's an eye full LOL Did you have any input on the word "moderate" when used with arthritis? As part of my pain management the doctor had planned for me to start with low impact exercise at a gym this month. After the xrays he said for me to stay away from the gym. Pool and walking only. He thought that I may do further damage even with low impact exercise.
I got a Pedometer yesterday, cause I had read that the ideal goal is walking 10,000 steps a day LOL. First I'm going to establish a baseline of where I am now, and then see what I can add without putting myself in bed for days at a time. My right leg has been giving me fits all week and I didn't do anything that could cause it. Can't decide if it's a muscle or what, but the calf is making me miserable. Everyone around me must get tired of me, it seems as if every other week I have something new that's hurting.
Have you found over the years that just as one thing is under control and you learn to live with it, that something else begins hurting? I do wonder if I fell into a big vat of "sissy sauce" LOL
