Start taking Kapidex 5 days ago, still no relef for my bitter taste in my mouth and burping. Any information when medication start working.

I have taken kapidex for 10 days trial ended having severe skin reaction which left me with permanent marks all over my back

I had a burning in my chest for 3 weeks. One dose and most of the symptoms were gone. Second dose all gone. Seems to work for me.

how long do you have to be on the kapidex before it starts to work? taking 60 mg. once daily

Hi Addie. The prescribing information states that there are various stages of treatment. A 60 mg dose once per day is indicated for the healing of erosive esophagitis and could be taken for up to 8 weeks. Then a maintenance treatment of 30 mg once daily could be taken for 4 weeks. How long have you been taking it ?

I just started to take Kapidex 60 mg a day. the doctor switched me from Aciphex to this. I'm kind of worry because it is new.
Any idea if it would be better than aciphex or not?

I was on Kapidex for 12 days. It began to work for me within 3 days. BUT, after 9 days I developed severe head pressure, dizziness, ringing in my ears, chest pain and my blood pressure sky rocketed. I have been off of it for 3 days and I still have a headache. My blood pressure has come back to its normal baseline but I still have the ringing in my ears. I did alot more research on the drug and found these to be side effects. If you are a person that tends to be sensitive to medications, I do not recommend this drug. Does anyone know how long Kapidex stays in your system?

I've been on Kapidex for about 8 months. My symptons are worse. Went to the doctor this week and he said the GERD's is significate. I'm going to be trying something else. Only wrote this to try to help someone else.

The severe skin reaction that
William S said he had after taking kapidex for 10 days trial, was my experience also. I had a rash on my ankles that turned into a severe skin reaction all the way up to my knees that left me with permanent pot marks. Has anyone else had a severe skin reaction after taking kapidex?
