You should start experiencing them within a few days after you start the medication and they will usually last anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, which is about the same amount of time that it takes your body to get used to the medication.

From personal experience, the side effect I can tell you to keep any eye out for is the dry cough. When I was taking it, it took about 2 months for that to start and nothing relieves it, other than stopping the medication and switching to something else.
The problem with it though, is that the cough is similar to the one you may get at the start of a cold, a seasonal allergy attack or if you smoke, so you may not realize immediately that it's due to the medication, so keep it in mind and if you start coughing, contact your doctor.
Are there any other questions?
Actually yes, also experienced E.D. within week of starting the mediciation. No cough yet. Do you think that's the medication or my anxiety about the medication?
I started 10 mg lisinopril about 3 weeks ago under a new doctor. My BP is in the low range now and my doctor recommended me to stop the medication. I'm not sure to stop it because I was under atenolol 25 mg for about 6 years and when I tried to stop it a few months after I started it I had the rebound effect. The doctor knows this but he still thinks I can stop it. What should I do?
