So my doctor gave me the free year of jardiance card w/ prescription and says it will block sugar from remaining in my system or whatever. I'm not diabetic, I'm 29, 6'3" 265 lbs but not in bad shape and he says it will help me lose weight. I haven't seen or heard of anyone taking it for this purpose and just curious if anyone has any insight. I know the side effects but I'm not prone to infections or diabetic so I don't know.....

Well, only you can make the final decision on whether or not to take it, but yes, many oral antidiabetic medications have been shown to help with weight loss, by improving the body's use and processing of insulin.
Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea and stomach pain.
