I have been on jadelle for 2 1/2yrs, it has been hell, I've gained about 10kgs, massive migranes, constant nausea, almost constant bleeding dr put me on hormones to stop bleeding, that was six months ago now they don't even help with bleeding. I also got severe acne(never had before), proacitve worked wonders with this.
I've had enough getting it taken out nothing should make women feel like this just to stop pregnancy. I wish I'd researched jadelle, I would never have used it and I haven't heard of anyone having success.
DON'T GET A JADELLE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH

hi..i am 22 years old and have one child..i had the jadelle implanted november 2010 and ever since then ive had problems with it..first up with very painful periods, also extremely heavy..up until doing some research i never noticed it but i also became very emotional, tired and moody..wich was interesting to discover that alot of other women experienced the same things..i was told the bleeding would settle after 6 months or so..however im now 3 years into it and am still bleeding far too often..(3 times in the past 3 weeks with maybe a day or 2 inbetween..i would not reccomend this form of contraception to ANYONE..ive tried taking pills the doctor prescribed to control the bleeding (didnt work) i want to get it removed but am also worried about the horror stories ive heard about all the removals..

Hi , I'm 34 yrs with 2 kids. I have had the Jadelle contraceptive in since Feb 2011(see post no:3) and have noticed side effects.
-weight gain (10kgs)
-BAD PMS (hate it with passion)
many hard times arguing with my partner over nothing and making him angry to the point where he cries or wants to leave me.
But I get PMS like 2weeks before my period starts?? Wierd.
Then when it starts, I get really hungry all the time.
Bleed for at least 3weeks. Look bloated all the time. Fluttery tummy like baby kicks.
- feel like crap, don't have energy.
-DEPRESSION only lasts like a week but its hell!! Blaming yourself for everything..
Saddest times during depression stage. But once it's over your like "what the hell was I depressed about"?
I think in January just gone, was the baddest depression I had... Ever!!! Don't want to experience another. I think it comes every 3 months and lasts a week.
-Sore left arm sometimes have to rubb it because its numb.
-tender breasts all the time.
-during my period .. Big clots.
I thought the Jadelle would be good, no worries at all with it. I mean I'm not pregnant so that's a good thing, but the side effects .... Not worth it!
You don't want to live grumpy all your life.
I am going to get them removed. I would want to go au natural and use condoms but my partner don't like them.
Maybe back on the depo or back to the IUD.
I will keep you posted......

Have had jadelle for just over a year now. Went straight from depo onto it. Haven't really had a period for years cause of the depo. But in the last 3 weeks I've had light bleeding that just doesn't seem to stop. Is there anything i can do about it? Or should i get it removed?

I am 29 and have had the Jadelle in for 3 months now.. Since In, I have had my period the whole time, my stomach has bloated, I have been having headaches, i feel as though my hair is falling out.. I am excersing nearly everyday so I know my weight gain is not from me being lazy.. I eat well, and all these symptoms are new for my body.. I also have a few odd pimples which is wierd, as I havent had since late teens.. Pretty scared to get removed, as It hurt when i got put in... :Z

Hi I had my implant taken out about a month ago. Finally feel like a normal women again. Nausea, bleeding, headaches all symptoms have gone. Taking out was quite brutal but worth it. My advice to all of you is "it is not going to get better only worse get it taken out now!"

hey i have had the jadelle inserted since september (so nearly 6 months now) and i have the worst anxiety ever. i have had to be put on medication for it. ive had a lot of panic attacks aswell. i also have felt nausea and i havent put on weight but ive been trying to lose and found it difficult. also find myself very hungry. my doctor saids its highly unlikely the anxiety is caused by the jadelle but i am sure it is. anyone had anxiety?

I've had Jadelle for a little over 2 years. At first it was good. No periods which is fine with me. Now I'm having regular spotting with periods/bleeding that last 15 days or more. Is this normal? I hate bleeding and this is my only problem with Jadelle. I was on Depo-provera and I bled a lot so I stopped. Will I need to remove Jadelle?

Yes I get really bad axiety and I have had it in since July 2012 and had never had anxiety before in my life so took me a while to realise what it was I thought I was going nuts.

Heyyyyyy ! I have had my jadelle in for two years and I didn't get a period for over a year just light spotting once in a blue moon , hardly ever had break outs and rarely had tummy pains . Recently I have had my period for nine days and it has gone but other than that I have kept my hormones at a homeostasis level and eat clean and train at the gym to keep myself healthy mentally and physically . Hope this helps someone

Hey this is normal for any contraception because the body is getting used to having its hormones controlled by something foreign. Your hormone levels have been
Upset therefore the cause of break out and light bleeding

These are not normal side effects for anyone, nausea, constant bleeding weight gain acne headaches, i thought they would go away or improve too, but they just got worse I'm healthy to, Jinai is one of the lucky ones, but don't write in this forum saying they are normal when the majority of us are really suffering. See my other to forums 122 & 132.
