after getting jadelle i havnt had my period for abwt 6mnths or over?help
I had mine removed on 8th December and was fine.. but the last 4 days i haven't been able to keep anything down and have felt nauseous all the time :( not sure if its from the jadelle being removed or something else
has anyone had bad side affects and has had it removed? how do u feel now?
ive had the jadelle for two years now and its amazing. i had no period for the first 18months but now its like clockwork every month. i got prgnant on the injection amd the pill and the jadelle has been the safest yet. its safe hardly any effects.
Im 16 years old & I've had the jadelle for a year and a half. It's pretty much ruined my life. Before I had the implant I had a mean body, nice legs and skinny toned stomach, Now I have rapidly gained weight. I have sellulite (however you spell it) on the back of my legs, a stomach covered in stretch marks, you would think I've had kids if you saw my sickening tummy. My face has like 2 chins. My period is very iregular, I break out alot not to mention I had clear skin. I want to get it removed but It's so much trouble I have to talk to a doctor and plan dates etc etc. Please don't get the Jadelle it will ruin life like it ruined mine.
Just got mine out yesterday.. will use condoms for now and hopefully the sex drive will return, will keep you all posted on the after effects. this forum has been a big help :)
had been on jadelle for almost a year gained 15kilos!! had it removed.
Ive had the jadelle in for about 8 months bleeding for at least 3 weeks then maybe a day or two with no bleeding. Ive put on heaps of weight and have sore tender breasts kept thinking i was pregnant ,my stomach is so swollen im having it removed.only thing is i can only feel one tube in my arm.I would not recommend this to anyone, constant headaches and no energy feeling tired constantly
Im 34 yrz old with 4 kids under 8. From what I read from pamphlets received by my midwife & doctors Jadelle seemed like the best contraceptive for me! I wish I found this forum site before I got the implants! I had the insertion done 5 days ago, & have had the munchies since then! feel bloated & like iv gained 1-2kgs! Also had a bad headache lasting 3 days! & just wanting to sleep and not do anything physical, i do wrkouts 3 days a week but been on a real low since i got the insert. Thanks for the heads up re: anxiety & moodswings will try to combat this, its day 5 havent had any bleeding yet & not looking forward to the irregularities! I liked one of the previous comments, everyone reacts differently & i guess it is a matter of trying it to see if its for you. Had I read all the posts on this forum beforehand I wouldnt have got it done. Will keep u posted!
Me and a friend have the same symptoms;
-irregular periods
-smelling discharge
-fluttering like a baby's kicking, honestly felt like I was going mad until I read other people had it too
-weight gain
-NO SEX DRIVE, at all! - have many others had this??
-moody
I was going to keep it in and put up with it bit after reading that most if not all these symptoms are bacause of the jadelle, it's definitely coming out
Hey Hun I've been on the pill and my periods were as bad as the jadelle, it can take up to 2 years to get pregnant after u stop and once u grt it there's no way to stop the effects
Lol * sorry ladies that was meant to be third or fourth month
I have had the jadelle implant since june 2012, it was put in the day of my first period, as soon as i the implants were put in i noticed my period went light and pretty much stopped the next day my cycles are pretty light anyway and the last five daya but i was still pretty stoked with how fast it worked, for the next month and a half i felt great, wasnt having any bad side affects
apart from not having a period, no breakouts, no weight gain lost weight im already pretty small so this kind of made me a bit more petite if i can describe it like that, i had no mood swings in fact i felt pretty good. I finally get my period, last 7 days but it was so light the amount of blood i probably lost in those 7 days was a tablespoon. Things were still going well, periods became regular again bleeding went from light to back to a normal period only difference for me was they were now 7 days instead of five. Around the fifth or sixth month of having it in, i noticed a kicking spasm feeling in my uterus, it felt like i was pregnant again would defenantly liken it to feeling a baby kick, i then noticed my skin started breaking out, only started as one and tiny then eventually they started popping up on my cheeks and chin, ive never had a problem with acne before and now its left pimples and blemishes on my chin and cheeks, ive noticed that theres an odour down there too after i finish my periods, in the past month ive had my period 3 times each lasting five days with breaks in between randomly, ive also noticed in the past 3 weeks my left side of my body feels numb sometimes and i have to shake my leg and arm and open and close my hand to get feeling back and sometimes i cant sleep on my left side because it feels too numb, ive also noticed that im feeling down a bit about the way i look sometimes i look in the mirror and just feel yuck which is something ive never worried about before but in saying that i know its just a hormonal thing i guess. Ive always had a decent size chest 10D cup but now my boobs have dropped to a small C which i think was due to the weight lost, really guttering as ive always had big boobs and i cant get use to having a smaller chest i feel like part of me is missing. I had a really good start with jadelle but as the
months have gone on ive noticed that the side affects
have kicked in and they are just getting worst and worst, i am going to get it taken out, after seeing this forum and the problems that i and other woman have experienced i will be ringing family planning today. I loved the fact that i didnt have to remember pills or worry about getting pregnant again while on the jadelle but the side affects are starting to get me down, to me it sounds like this contraception is good for a minority of woman who are not affected by the side affects at all or only slightyly. I started researching forums of other womans experiences after the side affects started and
to me it seems the census is that it isnt a very good contraception for alot of woman. In saying that i did know of course about the possible side affects with the jadelle, family planning was very informative and gave me pamphlets to read also. Jadelle is not suitable for my body so i am going to ask about the Depo shot, would love to hear from anyone who has had the Depo and their experiences on it, thank you for your time ladies :)
My period have become irregular can I bear it?I had the implant 4mths ago now I cannot monitor my circle any longer it comes twice in a month and last for five days.
I got my Jadelle in March 2011. For the first 8 months of having it in I got no periods at all and had no strange side effects. Then the bleeding started, so for the last 12 months or so I have been bleeding constantly. I went to the doctor and they put me on the pill to 'regulate' my period. they said when I finish the pill pack my periods should stop or become more normal, they didn't. I went again a few months ago and they put me back on the pill again. I dont like anything un-natural in my body so I didn't go the whole 3 months of taking the pill, i took it for almost 2 months as I thought why should I be taking another contraceptive just to cover up the symptoms of my main contraceptive? So it has been 5 days since I stopped the pill and my period has come back with very painful period pain. BUT I'm reluctant to get the Jadelle out as it is so effective when it comes to not getting pregnant. not sure what to do :/
I have had the implant for over a year, and wow. The periods have stopped (maybe once every 3-4 months) IM 25 and have the skin of a teenager. Also growing hair on my chin and around my neck line, I have no sex drive, havent gained any weight I dont think.. but i am cranky all the time. I am def going to take it out, i am hoping it wont take long for the side effects to disappear... and im praying the hair will stop growing, its making me so self conscious. I am also noticing a smelly discharge most days... disaster.
Hi! Im also on Jadelle.
Have the same problems.
-Breakouts (not just face)
-I will not say WEIGHT GAIN, just some liquid retention adding something between 2 to 3kg.
-No period.
I knew about the possible side effects. Still, I needed to try. As soon as I can remove it, I believe I will.
hey there, i am 29 with 2 kiddies and iv had the implant in since July 2012 and ever since i haven't had regular periods but have had like brownish periods every now and again its very annoying is this normal?. i also have had head aches, back aches, tender breast and feel very low about myself. i thought maybe it was something else until i read these comments.i havent gained or lost wait which is good. i have been very irritable with mainly my family which isnt fear. is there any1 else that has this happening and what an i do please.
