Isosorbide Mn Er 30 Mg
UpdatedI did not remember if I had taken the above pill this morning
so I took another pill -- that equals 60 MG. Did I do the
right thing? I did not feel that I could do without if I had not
taken it.

This medication, which is commonly used to treat Angina, can cause some problems if you take too much, such as: dehydration, low blood pressure, rapid heart beat and trouble breathing. Thus, it is never advisable to take more than the prescribed dosage.
You should really ask your doctor what they want you to do, if you think you missed a dose.
Of course, it is always better to just ensure that you don't and thereby avoid the problem.
Some tips that can help you make sure you don't miss a dose are:
1) Make sure you take it around the same time each day, that way it becomes habit to take the medication.
2) Mark it off on a calendar, whenever you take your dose for the day. That way, if you don't remember later, you can just glance at it and check.
3) Purchase a daily medication dispenser that is marked with the days of the week. Then, it will be easy to know if you have or haven't taken the dosage for that day, by just seeing if the compartment for that day is empty.
4) (My preferred method) If you have a smartphone, use the calendar or alarm reminders that most phone operating systems have build in, or get an application. Many of them are free. I have mine set to give me a reminder tone, every day at 9am and 9pm. No more missed pills.

Are there any questions or comments?
I have shortness of breath about 1-2 hours after i take my morning pill on empty stomach before breakfast.
Carole, Isosorbide is the active ingredient, so no, it doesn't contain Nitro.
Noramoore, have you spoken to your doctor?
There is a possibility that the medication may cause that, because it could be too high of a dosage for you, but only your doctor is really going to be able to help you figure that out.
