Is Torsaden A Component Of Hydrochlorothiazide

I am going to be in a clinical trial for my CRPS, my testing turned out good, blood, urine, etc. Then I was told to check with my doctor about getting off the hydrochlorothiazide. The medical board said there was torsaden in the med and it can cause heart problems. Is this the case, my nephrologist wasn't aware of this, but she said I could stop taking it right away.

Are you sure they said Torsaden? I can't find anything listed in the FDA, or NIH databases under that name.

Hydrochlorothiazide is the active ingredient in this medication, it is most commonly used to help remove excess fluid from the body to treat conditions, such as congestive heart failure, edema, and high blood pressure.

Did they possible mention Thiazide? Since that is the class this medication is classified as being in.
