Is There A Yellow Xanax 901s Made By Geneva Pharmaceuticals
UpdatedI have been given yellow alprazolam oval shaped and on one side reading 106S and the other side says nothing; I have taken Geneva GG257 peach color for years and they helped; the yellow ones do absolutely nothing; the label says Geneva on it; I cannot find any information other than Dava makes a pill that says 106 on one side and there is an S on the other. I have used the same drug store for 50 years and I am not confrontational but I have taken alprazolam for 34 years and I know these yellow pills are not the same. Thank you

They are of the same strength. Perhaps you can ask your Pharmacy if they could replace the medicine with a different generic if available, or perhaps allow you purchase the name brand drug at your extra cost? Ask your doctor if perhaps the 1.0's are the way to go?
I replied but the system ate my message. No
Does anyone know if Geneva makes Alprazalam that is yellow oval with either S901 or 601S printed on one side; I was informed that Dava makes this pill but I received a prescription with this pill that said Geneva was the manufacturer.
Hello, Joyce! How are you?
What your pharmacy has listed as the manufacturer doesn't actually mean anything, what does is the imprint. Your pharmacy will not always list the actual manufacturer, but rather the distributor and Geneva is a distributor for some Dava products.
The imprint is what is used to actually trace back to the manufacturer, which as you've discovered is actually Dava and the marking is meant to be S 901.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Thanks for the info; it is much appreciated; I went back to my pharmacy and they did replace the yellows with the peach colored pills! This is the second time this has happened at the same pharmacy and they seemed to have the peach colored pills ready to replace the yellows; I don't want to address the fact that the peach have always helped me whereas the yellow do nothing; these facts are always open to opinions but again, thanks for taking the time to reply; this is the first time I have ever done anything like this, going online to ask a question and I am surprised someone has taken the time to even answer;
Hi Joyce, I hope you are doing well,
I am over a year late joining in the conversation about Geneva alprazolam; I have used this brand for many many years and the name on the bottle has always been Geneva; now the pharmacy is dealing with a Co. called Stada! The pills look the same, peach color and they say G3720 which my old ones said but I don't know if I am thrown off by the name and I feel as if they are not helping me; I think you are the only person I have come upon that has used Geneva and thought they made a good product; I see names like Greenstone, Dava, Actavis, Pfizer, Sandoz and others but no one has even listed Geneva as coming close to the efficacy of these I have mentioned; the pharmacist told me that the Stada is the same as Greenstone and they look just like Geneva. I have been on Xanax and Alprazolam for 35 years and I know, yes I know there is a difference between the Xanax and the generic. I don't care what any doctor or pharmacist or lay person says but I know after years of anxiety and panic attacks that this is so. I felt fortunate to find a generic that has helped me as the cost for the real thing is something I cannot afford. If you still keep up with the blogs I would like to hear what input you might have. Thanks. I have spent hours on the pc trying to find a way to get in touch with Geneva Pharmaceuticals but to no avail.
Did you ever think it could be just in your head? The Brand name Xanax does not vary much from generic Xanax, and Geneva Xanax is fine, just like most other Xanax generic makers.
I also was given this yellow pill instead and it has made me worse. I was fine for 7 years with the peach one. I am going to go back to the pharmacy tomorrow. I have waited for a week to be sure...
I have taken alprazolam for 3 years on and off... I actually feel the TEVA brand is best.... even when it comes to clonazepam... just my thoughts..... love to hear more.
Re: Eddy (# 1)
They aren't the same strength. Technically they say they are but the fda is only required to put 60% of the active drug in the pill and these are the crappier brand. Greenstone brand or Xanax brand is the way to go. Greenstone is 90% of the active ingredient alprazolam.
Re: Marcy (# 6)
You are completely right. As I've stated in a few replies, the fda is only required to put 60% of the active ingredient alprazolam into the pill with dava being the weakest. Greenstone is 90%. I have been prescribed 2mg three times a day for 15 years and everyone knows their own body themselves the best. Dava sucks, so I request greenstone. Target makes sure that is what I get every month. Screw this weak s***.
