Rose we are on the same situation. I will share my story -- I have recurrent UTI tainted with blood most of the time...I have been suffering from this illness since 1980's but it was frequent only after 2005 when i was dignosed to have diabetes. I am not sure though if that was the cause. I graduated from other antibiotics since they are not effective to treat my UTI anymore. Fearing that I might soon be prescribed by a higher kind of medicine and out of desperation, I tried BIGNAY fruits for one month (in the Philippines it's a local counterpart of the cranberry fruit) I boiled the fruits and enjoyed a cup evening & morning. The pain in peeing was gone in just 2 days and never come back until 3 months again. Unfortunately, the season for BIGNAY fruits is over.

Now, I tried SAMBONG leaves to cure my UTI as this was the advise of my aunt. The taste of boiled fresh SAMBONG was awful but I believe this is one kind of herbal medicine that can cure genuinely because SAMBONG was already a household name when even I was young. I am now 55.

I am prone to UTI since I got pregnant with my 1st baby, after all the laboratories I am safe from kidney trouble...but my UTI come and go especially if I'm not drinking lot of water...my anti biotic is going higher...after clearance... My OB doctor prescribe me a sambong capsule for maintenance of 3- 4 weeks she said its friendly to the kidney... after that my UTI never comes back for 3 yrs. Now it reoccur again. I'm living in china and doctor just gave me antibiotic for 4 days only. 2 months after it goes back so I order sambong capsule to Phil.and I'm about to start taking it. With I must drink 3++ liters of water a day...medicine alone for UTI is not enough must drink 10 cups or more of water a day....

I am afraid that this seems to be an over the counter supplement touted as a drug alternative for urinary problems. That said, it is, therefore, not proven to actually help with anything.

I can't even find information on what it contains or exactly what they recommend you use it to treat or prevent.

Urinary tract infections normally require an antibiotic, which is prescribed by your doctor, according to the type and severity of the infection.

Have you consulted a doctor regarding the use of this or your possible need for an antibiotic?

Self-treatment could result in a more severe infection and illness than what you are already dealing with.

I am going to try to see if I can find any more information on this.
