Is It Safe To Take 5mg Of Oxycodone

I take 5mg of oxycodone about once a day for a TKR, I don't normally mix drugs and alcohol but I was bored so I waited 16hrs before I had 3 mixed drinks, each mixed drink I had was in a tall glass with less then a 1/4 of hard liquor and a lot of ice and to the top with pop and it took me 5hrs to drink 3 drinks and now its been 5hrs sense my last drink so how long do I have to wait to take a 5mg of oxycodone and no I didn't get a buzz from the drinks and I'm still myself (normal).

It sounds like you already know the answers, you're just looking for permission to justify imbibing and ingesting a powerful narcotic opiate/opioid. MOST folks here are genuinely attempting to provide valid information not to pass judgement on anyone's behavior. Someone with a minimal daily intake of oxycodone mixed with several alcoholic beverages is NEVER SAFE despite drinking over time and not receiving a buzz from it. Just read the vial warning labels. It's DANGEROUS. NO ONE can tell you if it would be fatal but no not a wise choice to make. Please be well and post back so we know your OK because I truly do care.....

no i was not looking for permission to justify what i was doing my knee started hurting after wards and i just needed to know how long do i have to wait, that was all nothing more and nothing less but this i do know is that i wont be doing that again and i think mixing drugs and alcohol is not a smart thing to do at all , i try it that one time and i was wrong for doing so,alcohol its not that important to me to put my life in danger

Hey I know this is a late reply but it takes your liver 3 hours to metabolize 3 units of alcohol, I suggest looking up alcohol units. It depends on your tolerance. But to be safe wait until it is fully metabolized. If you drink a lot of the time, make no mistake, that because you handle alcohol better doesn't mean you metabolize it faster, in fact you most likely have a fatty liver and metabolize slower and at such case probably meed to wait longer. Although different enzymes work to metabolize the two, getting the liver too crouded with CNS depressants is never a good thing. My advice wait until tomorrow, deal with the pain, we all have to at some point in these cross roads. I've taken oxy and drank and I almost fainted and broke out in terrible sweats and had a full blown panic attack, weakness, legs trembling, not to mention shallow breathing from mixing the two and had to take vyvanse to keep me awake, which didn't help with the anxiety. So yeah, just be safe to any other readers out there.
