Now I see Shering/Plough has essentilly brought back the Original Drixoral, in the new-named Disophrol, and by "original" I mean "prescription"... Or is it? The strange thing about the whole fiasco is the original Sudafed is still available. I use it now, but by itself it just isn't anywhere near the combination of medicines in Drixoral. Disophrol is supposedly an exact duplicate.
QUESTION: Is Disophrol by prescription-only in USA?
ANOTHER QUESTION: WHERE does one find it?
A THIRD QUESTION: Has anyone had luck getting info (form letters describing the re-model of the Drixoral Factory don't count)... from Shering/Plough?

I cannot speak to why the manufacturer did things as they did. They've not said and they aren't required to do so.
As to the Disophrol/Drixoral, I see that there is a generic extended release available from KVK Tech Inc., which contains 6mgs of Dexbrompheniramine and 120mgs of Pseudoephedrine. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, nervousness and dry mouth. It is available over the counter and via prescription.
However, I also don't have any information on where you'd find it over the counter.
Has anyone else seen it available anywhere?
