I have ulcerative eosinophilic cystitis, a similar type of condition to interstitial cystitis.... only a bit rarer, im so lucky to win the jackpot! Its very hard to live with these conditions, people most often have no idea the extent of pain it causes. I live in Australia so cant help re pain specialist but for a bit of moral support, or a shoulder to lean on im your girl. Hope you have found a good doctor/PC to help you by now.
