Hi Ben,

I'm so sorry to hear about what you've been through- at least you made it back safely! I'm not from that area so unfortunately I don't know of a doctor that I can refer you to, however I thought I'd give you some information about a couple different pain treatment methods you might be interested in trying. First method I want to mention is acupuncture, I've personally been treated with acupuncture (for a painful nerve in my foot) and it was very successful, quick, and basically painless! I've even considered going back to treat migraines that I've been dealing with and joint pain.

The second, is acupressure- which is less invasive than acupuncture, because there are no needles involved (even though the needles used with acupuncture are as thin as a strand of hair-so it's not really painful). Acupressure is a therapy that was developed in Asia and dates back 5,000 years. The way it works is by using the fingers to gradually press key healing points, which stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. It is considered an ancient healing art. The last thing I'll mention is Essential oil aromatherapy- which can be used in conjunction with acupressure to help relieve headaches, anxiety, as well as pain and many other ailments.
