Ic Docusate Sodium, Diclofenac

I am suffering with sciatica that is either caused by, or made worse by ulcerative colitis causing pain in my left leg. I am often constipated as a result and it makes the pain unberable at times. I know Diclofenac can cause stroke and I was wondering how safe it is to take Colace with it to ease the constipation being that they both contain a type of "sodium"

Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Colace/ Sodium Docusate is a stool softener.

It isn't that they contain types of sodium, it is just the base ion of the exact salt that the medications are derived from.

You shouldn't take anything, without your doctor's approval, but these aren't like the sodium you are thinking of that's found in food or table salt.
