Ok. I know that they are obviously safe to consume- BUT I put one open and not only is my mouth numb, it is on FIRE and nothing so far (15 min) is helping it subside.... Any ideas? Am I ok or did I burn my mouth? Like wtf!? Thank you.

The ib 200 orange gel pill you consumed is an ibuprofen used for pain relief. Before getting into the details I want to state that it is never advisable to administer medication in a way that is not instructed.
Getting to the point, because our stomachs are acidic the capsules have a very strong base to ensure your stomach does not destroy the active ingredients in the medicine to perform their function. The base used in this gel pill has a "burning" sensation that should subside over time with no permanent damage.
