These are extended release tablets, so they don't work all at once, the medication in them is slowly released over a period of 12 hours to help get better pain control.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
However, if it isn't working for you, you should inform your physician as they may need to prescribe something else.
