I Stopped Taking Medrol 4 Mil After Very Bad Side Effects

I started taking medrol 4 mil pack then stopped taking it because of all side effects. It felt like the top of my head was on fire and like I was hit with a bat all over my body, major headaches, had to keep eyes closed, could not function.... I stopped taking it after I talked to my Dr who advised me to stop taking it with 2 pills left in the pack ..how come after a week I have still these side effects, getting nausea now, was being treated for re. arthritis. What do I do to get back to normal?

The side effects from taking steroids can linger for over a week, or more, it really just takes time for them to taper off and improve.

I am sorry that you're so miserable, though.

If they don't go away soon, or if they worsen, you should consult your doctor, again.

Other typical side effects may include dizziness, acne and headache.

Has there been any change, yet?

I, too, was told to quit with two pills left, after I went to the ER with what I thought was a heart attack. I am 7 days past my last dose, and I am still experiencing insomnia, nausea, dizziness, no appetite, heart pounding and high bp. How are you feeling now?
