Pink oval pill with Ip53 is 20 mg Citalopram (Brand Name Xanax) It is used to treat anxiety, stress, depression. {editor's note: struck out the incorrect brand name stated}

Thats not true. The medicine in xanax is alprazolam, it is a benzodiazepine. The oval pink pill w ip53 on it is an ssri antidepressant

Michelle is correct about the incorrect brand name and our editors have noted that in the original post.

Just to clear up any confusion - the tablet being described is in fact Citalopram 20mg manufactured by Amneal pharmaceuticals. NDC # 65162-053. It is indeed classified as an SSRI antidepressant.
