Having to test positive for methadone or opiates after 3 days clean in order to get methadone at the clinic. Do I really have to relapse in order to get help?

There are a number of bipolar drugs that give false positive for methadone
Hedonin i can recall, you can get the same drug with a different name in your country.

what they want to see and confirm from you is that you're experiencing/showing signs of withdrawal. trouble sleeping at night, hot and cold sweats, high blood pressure, flu like symptoms especially runny nose, sneezing. Clammy skin, muscle spasms, or that creepy crawls feeling in ur muscles especially in ur arms and legs which makes it even harder to sleep. if u are in withdrawal you'll be running a temperature/ not necessarily much of one, and it's not a must. u tell them what ur feeling and tell them u did as they instructed you to...u shouldn't have any trouble. But be forewarned methadone is quite difficult to come off of so don't start it unless you have the financial means to pay for it for a lengthy period of time and the gas money plus car repairs. consider subutex/just saying bc it's not a train u want to get on foresay if you're hooked on hydrocodone or something equivalent. Elsewise it's probably a good move. good luck

The clinic that I used to go to said you had to be clean for one day of not taking any opiates to get your first dose of methadone. If tested it will still be in your system for several days. Good Luck!
