I Need A Legal Nature Xanax Type Medicine

Hi I live in the U.S and suffer from anxiety.have been on many types of anxiety meds but the only one that seems to work is xanax or valium. The U.S. War on drugs makes it hard to get a Dr to prescribe for long term use.

Hello, Rob! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.

There isn't anything available over the counter that is really as effective. However, some herbs that may help include Chamomile, Green Tea, Hops, Valerian, Lemon Balm, Passionflower and Lavender. You can even find some over the counter products that combine some of them specifically to calm and ease anxiety and stress.

However, you should check with your doctor to make sure that it is safe for you try them.

Exercise can also help, as well as meditation. Staying way from stimulants, such as caffeine and nicotine will also be beneficial, according to the NIH.

Does anyone else have any advice or ideas to add that may help?
