I Am Prescribed Adderall 60mg Day I Recieved A Round Pink Scored Pill With Cor 135 Never Did It Work (Top voted first)
UpdatedSeemed not to work as well as the orange generic, could u possibly tell me why the pink cor 135 never worked
No, not the same -- not from personal experience, and not from the hundreds of comments on line. None of the generics are truly identical to the original, and amongst the generics there are definitely better ones different or less effective varieties. That people are communicating is a good thing; talking about it is a good thing; speaking up when something is wrong is a good thing, but often doesn't happen when people talk about it. That's not being crybabies, that's being aware and yes, sometimes brave. But most of all it's being normal.
Wow, Janna, you can not possibly be a chemist. Anyone who has ever even taken a basic course such as organic chem 1 knows that the methyl prefix simply represents the addition of a single carbon (and its corresponding hydrogens) to the molecule. Which obviously implies that methyl does not mean, what I believe you meant to spell, pseudo*. Although I do agree with you that different generics do have slightly different formulations which do have different biological consequences and are allowed by the fda based on bioequivalence (AUC). And these different formulations (for example, different salts of the same molecule) most certainly have an effect on the pharmacokinetics of the drug such as its half life and bioavailability. I suggest you keep you condescending replies and false claims of being a chemist out of a forum dedicated to information on pharmaceuticals and health as it may cause harmful effects to people who may take your word as fact.
Actually it does!! Know what your talking about before you insult ppl that do. If someone has been taking the same med for years then all of a sudden their med is changed to another pharm company they can def feel a difference. The fda gives a range of whats an exceptable amount of active ingredient. For a 30 mg pill some companies chose to be cheap and will apply the lowest allowed. Its not uncommon for say a 30 mg pill to have only 26 mg of the main ingredient. That combined with a poor formulation which can affect the % that the body actually absorbs ends with a pissed of patient who's uncomfortable and having to explain things to people like you. Also funny you mentioned suboxone. Those have the biggest and noticable differnce between pharm/manf companies. People enduring the horrible pains of withdrawls have to deal with the quality diff in a painful way.
Also, Janna, I left out the fact that methamphetamine is in fact a prescription drug and is prescribed (rarely) under the name Desoxyn. It is a schedule 2 drug (like adderall) and is regulated by the fda. It was not, as you say, created by unlicensed people for use as a recreational drug. Although, in recent times, the majority of of it is produced by unlicensed individuals for the purpose of recreational use.
Fun Facts!
Taking high doses of Adderall does not make you a chemist, although you may think that you are one.
Dear Jim/ thinks he knows it all! You said ( Meth amphetamine ) It's amphetamine/ dextro or other ! METHAMPHETAMINE is a STREET copy cat of amphetamine!!!! Meth means SEUDO which means FAKE - fake amphetamine created by unlicensed people for street/ recreational use. So Jim YOU are WRONG- I am a chemist - you calling people cry babies is like me calling you IGNORANT - and if people take your advice they could die or end up with brain damage ect......generic medication is never the same and with Adderall and pain medication you are playing with fire!!!! Never rely on the Internet always talk to several professionals - it's good to communicate and see that others have same issues so you have evidence to back you up! God bless you all and PS this JIM guy / probably didn't finish high school so do not let ignorant people make you second guess your gut instincts!
same thing, new script generic n I felt someone just gave me a sleeping pill wtf if happens tom im complnin n going back to dr, but if it isnt the exact chem match as namebrand my pharmacist says it doesn't matter it cannot b sold reg by fda. dont get this crap....hate new rx calling tom am
I haven't dealt with adderall before but after reading you comment I felt compelled to comment back. I don't give a crap what the pharmacists say about generic being the same as name brands, it is NOT true. Case in point I take 600 mg Lamictal a day for seizures as well as for a very serious case of BiPolar with what some doctors call ultradian cycling which means instead of the ups & downs every few months or so, mine can happen literally daily but I digress....
Several times pharmacies have tried to give me generics saying they are the same but cost less and each time I have had issues, the last being so seriously bad my doctor finally had to write in my file and on my scrips that I can only have name brand for this particular medicine. There is something about the compounding between Lamictal and Lamotrigine (which is the most common substitute). When I took the generic, this medicine which normally helps keep my raging ultra rapid cycles at bay and helps to keep me calm and feel somewhat normal had me climbing the walls, crying and basically rocking back and forth like someone who was missing her straight jacket and padded cell!! It was awful and honestly it was worse than before I was diagnosed and became medicated, so these different generics MAY have the main ingredient in them but the compounds are different and to some of us with mental disorders, those compounds can cause anything from minor discomfort to serious issues. If you feel like what you are getting is causing a problem, tell your doctor and explain in detail the differences between the name brand and generic (or which generic works best etc) and then ask him to put a note in your file that you can only take the name brand or particular medicine. most doctors will if you give them valid information because the majority actually want to help us get better.
Of course we'd all love to take name brands of everything because they seem to work better but you have to give a little to get, so more than likely you are gonna have to be satisfied with generics for any other medications if you tolerate them well enough. This helps to keep insurance costs down (supposedly). Anyway, sorry this was so long, I just wanted to explain thoroughly so it could help anyone that might be in the position I was in. You have to fight for the medical care that is right for you, NOT what you doctors & insurance company say is right. I found out the hard way BUT thats another long winded story.... :)
Shut the hell up, Jim. We have the right to complain about our medication. I just got this new prescription yesterday and I just found out they are the cor 135 pills as opposed to the orange tablets I have received for the past couple years. And wow the only thing I notice is a *slight* increase in concentration but more of a headache than anything. The thing is we are prescribed this stuff because a doctor agreed that itd help.
You are so not a chemist. I'm doubting you even have ged.
Amen!! So tired of ignorant people who think they know everything!
Actually methamphetamine is schedule 2 and there are pharmaceutical pills in the United states which contain it as the active ingredient. It's an alternative to adderall. They are commonly 5mg to be taken once daily. Put desoxyn in the little search bar. Also before this goes any further, coke is also schedule 2. I can only name a handful of schedule one stimulants and you have likely never heard of any of them. Most of them you'd know as "bath salts" and were only recently scheduled. Fun fact, the reason ruffies are illegal in the United states is that they never applied for scheduling. It's a crowded market. Benzodiazepines. I bet you thought it was because they were more dangerous than whatever mothers little helpers you are on. Thc is schedule one. Marinol is a thc derivative. Essentially it's just thc with a government stamp on it because a pharmaceutical company wanted that dollar. That's the truth about the system. Don't get to cozy with those narcotics just because you got them from a pharmacy with the assistance of someone with a PhD. It's happened more recently with other medications. Oxycontin for example. Google the case files. Pharmaceutical companies lie. In both cases they got caught red handed. Read the bad science blog. Be an informed consumer.
do not use core pharma 'pink' generic. my doctor writes it on my script
Teva owns all rights to manufacture adderall and the generic under 'barr' its recently acquired company. shire, the original patent owner sold rights to Teva in favor of retaining rights to Vyvanase. check FDA website
Brand (Teva) 20mg Adderal is more consistent, so I take 1/2 at a time IR but still notice a huge difference with each time its filled.
one month - allergic reactions, one month ineffective and more like caffeine. Finally I've supplemented with 2.5 mg of dexidrine (again Teva owns all rights) The combination is a bit better for concentration and with IR can be adjusted. Diet is super-important: no artificial anything, ever. Lots of protein, vitamin B and sleep! good luck.
Thank you!! I was gonna reply to that jerk but I said I'm not gonna give him the time of day!! But I AGREE we need to keep talking and get our heads together to take some action. This is not fair to those of us that truly NEED this medication!!
Perhaps to you and your individual body's chemical make up it is the same, everyone is different....therefore different medications affect people differently. There's no need to put other people down and be so close-minded to a person's valid question. I have been on Adderall for quite a while for chronic fatigue from fibromyalgia and to help seizures induced by a botched occipital nerve block that damaged the nerve. I can tell a difference with different manufacturing companies. Spoke to my pharmacist about the difference and he told me that he had heard multiple complaints! So your theory and answer are both incorrect.
Instead of pointing out how wrong you are on everything you said, I'm just going to point out one MAJOR thing you have wrong.....Adderall is a AMPHETAMINE, NOT (a) METHamphetamine. There's just a tiny bit of a difference between the two, like I don't know, one is a street drug and is ILLEGAL?!?!?
first of all how would everyone have the exact same complaint cor 135 is not EFFECTIVE point blank period . and Adderall xr is a mix of dextroamphetamine salts (4salts) NOT METHAMPHETAMINE salts and regardless of whether or not Methamphetamine hydrochloride is manufactured you do not see it being prescribed and its not an active ingredient in Adderall. as for suboxone i was prescribed this med in 2005 b4 it became so popular and i could never take the whole tab i could take only a quarter of it then i was off it for several years and recently got back on it and there is no way in hell the generic is as effective i still need only a quarter of the brand name suboxone film but the entire pill of any generic and like someone else stated it could be everyones body reacts differently to different things but i think your response was incorrect and very ignorant.
sincerely
A "crybaby" as you labeled us who have valid complaints about this garbage
I was wondering how long will it take cor 136 (the pink pill) to get out of your body? 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 3 days???
Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine are central nervous system stimulants that affect chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.
Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine is a combination medicine used to treat narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder..
Some people use it as a way to maintain focus in their school studies and as a dietary supplement to help them loose weight and give them energy.
It is actually not the same companies say oh ya we done testing and ours is like others. Not the case and different colors do make difference do to manufacturers. .. my pink 20 do not have an effect on me the orange 20 work for me so I asked the pharmacist and which in fact for some people colors make a difference because of different manufacturers. . And it is ok to ask around before u fill rx to see what colors of adder old they have ...
