This medication will only help with pain, there is nothing in it to help combat an infection, for that you need to see your doctor to have an antibiotic prescribed.
The FDA classifies Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
