Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, it is used to lower the amount of water retention in the body and to help with high blood pressure.

And no, this is NOT a normal side effect of this medication. It could, however, be an allergic reaction to it.

You should contact your doctor immediately so they can look into what could be causing this rash. Have you spoken to them, yet?

is it normal to get pain behind the head? also is it normal to get body ache? is it normal to get hot flashes ? is it normal to feel that your peins dont work it does not get up at all so you say to your self is it wise to continue to take this very little pill.?????????????

I have developed a blister type peeling rash which is breaking out all over my body and a prickling sensation in my skin, after being on Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg tab after a month and a half.
After consulting the medical clinic I stopped taking this medication and have scheduled a follow up with my doctor who is out of the office.
It appears I may be allergic to this medicine.What alternative medicines are there.
I have never had an allergic reaction to any medications in the past.
