have been taking this medication for about a month and a half, would like to know more about side effects,etc.

I take Hydrochlorot Cap 12.5mg and I would like to know if it is the same drug as 'Hydrochlorothiazid ? Does anyone know if it is different? I have been taking this for over a year & I don't know too much about this drug either. Ellen.

Yes, it is the same drug, just different abbreviations. The actual drug name is Hydrochlorothiazide, also sold under the brand name HydroDIURIL. This is a diuretic used to help lower blood pressure.

Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, headache, high blood sugar and sun sensitivity.
