How Long Will It Take To Return To Normal

Updated September 18, 2014

I have been taking Chantix for about a month now and decided tonight that I must stop. From day one I have been nauseated and increasingly depressed. I have a history of depression and anxiety - I have also began to notice that when I eat a lot of sugar, I get a rush of energy and then within an hour or so I feel terrible. Is it okay to just stop this medication and how long will it take to be out of my system?

Hello, Pinky! How are you doing?

It may take a week or two, before you start to feel back to normal. However, that reaction to eating a lot of sugar is normal and may continue. It's just not good for our bodies to overdo it.

Is there anything else I can help with?
