Marijuana has detectable metabolites that can be measured and detected in blood or urine tests fir over 39 days depending on the amount used and frequency of use over an extended period of time. Meaning, if one uses their prescribed marijuana every 8 hours for 2 months, the traces of active metabolites will be detectable for much longer than a person that uses it once a week. The only method for eradicating marijuana from a positive reading is drinking lots of fluids. There are a million pills and liquids for sale that claim that they will clear your system, and not test positive- and they all are a waste of money and possibly can harm you in rare cases. These chemicals are 99% of the time simply diuretic preparations derived from plant extracts and synthetic chemicals that simply dilute your urine. Drink lots of clean water, and do this very often and allow the only remedy to clean you out; time.

As a side note, most tests will check your urine for over dilution- too much water and not enough waste triggers a "false positive" thus requiring you to return and take the test again. If you are not supposed to be using this medication, it is best not to be using it, as for all medicines..
