my point is Oxymorphone is not a mixture of anything. It is synthisized from theabine just like most narcotics or can be made from morphine. Sorry if I offended you, but I have seen many others claim to be something there are not and it seems this time I was wrong about your credentials. I'm sorry. BTW Perdue Pharma didn't change oxycodone, they changed the buffers and inert ingrediants to make it unabusable.

6 days later give you an excellent chance. Let me give you some tips. The day of the test try and schedule it as late in the day as possible, Remember the first urine of the day has all those metabolites that accumulated overnight with every urine passing the count goes down and scheduling it later in the day gives you a few extra hours. .Drink one half gallon of water an hour as soon as you wake up. Drink more water if you can.
You should be OK after 6 days but the water increases your chances.

Opana DOES show up in blood and urine as oxymorphone. my husband just died of an accidental overdose of opana and the tox report shows OXYMOPHONE listed as the opiate.

Hello-Brandiee here-I have a question for the the Doc. If a person snorts aprox. 5 to 6 Roxicodone on a Monday-will there URINE BE CLEAN FOR A URINE DRUG TEST ON THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY? This friend of mine does not take any other pain meds on a regular bassic. He is on Subs 2 1/2 a day. He took the the R for a bad Kidney infection. This is the only pain medicine he has had. He plans on taking "STAT FLUSH" ON FRIDAY MORNING. Can u give me an average of how long R 30mgs and 15mgs and Opana 40mgs stay in a persons system? And can u tell me if infact "Stat Flush" works? I took a couple bumps of an opana I weigh 140 pounds and im 5"6 if I drink alot of water and workout csn it be outta my system in 24hours? I would appreciate the input thanks

I am a Retired Police Officer. I was shot in the back 3 times (same shooting in 3 spots on my back and shoulder). I have been given Several types of medication over the Years and they now have me on Methadone 10mg 3x's a day. (For Pain) I DO NOT abuse it and only take it for the pain, along with Flexiril. (Sp?) I want off, but the withdrawls or horrifying!

My question is, what is the best way to get off with the least amount of withdrawls? Suboxone? Vertril? Taper, what?
I have a tough time with tapering. Plus I work and NEED to keep working!

I am no doctor but i have been through the ups and downs of drug abuse ... i would try to taper the best you could take the lowest amount possible then after a couple weeks see how low you can get then test yourself the next day see how long you can go before you feel bad ...if you feel bad rather fast switch to suboxone if possible .. take that for about a week and a half ( lowering your dose each day start at 8 mg twice the first day them maybe 8 then 4 then the 3rd day just take the minimal amount til you are only taking a 2mg that lasts you all day) then be prepared for a week or two of feeling off with minimal side effects some people take vitamins and aspirin ( or Motrin ) to help with pain and benadryl to help with sleep others just rough it .. you will be ill but nowhere near as bad then be prepared for the pain to come flying back to whatever you needed the pills for in the first place but that too will subside good luck feel free to ask any questions just so you know i used Oxycontin and Oxycodone for 6 years and now im pill and drug free for a year in march i tried methadone but that never did the trick suboxone really is as close to a miracle for opiate dependent people you will find! please remember im not a dr or pharmacist just speaking from past experiences

There is so much bad information in here it's ridiculous. Opana is not morphine, it is not oxycodone, it's not a mix of the two. It is oxymorphone. If you have an RX for Oxycodone then you come up positive for oxycodone as some of the OxyCodone metabolizes into oxymorphone.

Weight has absolutely NO effect on opiates.. they bind to protein not fat.. and as for the person saying that probation uses same tests that u could obtain for household use.. BULLS**T. They use an expanded 5 panel test n check for creatine lvls, sp gravity, metabolites and quite a few other aspects that home tests DO NOT.. unless u just so happen to have a lab in ur household. Seriously ppl.. y talk sh*t when u don't even get it yourselves? Read the long ass post below.. that's real info taken from multiple pdf's from pharmaceutical companies, probation program counselors, and ACTUAL toxicologists. Btw, coming next year(it just got approval for cancer patients Thursday) is a pure form of Hydrocodone called Zohydro Er. It will come in ER and IR forms. Much stronger than Opana. So you can begin salivating all of you lil fiiiiends out there. Jk

Don't eff with pain killers. You ruin it for the rest of us who are responsible with them. Using them for the actual dulling(not killing) of legitimate pain signals. (Not bc you are sad or have a stubbed toe)

Abuse is seriously getting out of hand in this country..

There sure is a lot of guessing. It depends on what kind of test you are taking. Usually is for metabolites. Putting a piece of pill in your urine is just ignorant.

It's true, some of us can't get meds we need cause abusers wanna get high. It sucks to have real pain and docs are skeptical, thinking we wanna do them for a high. I'm on dilaudid and It's not working much, doc doesn't wanna give me stronger meds cause of the abuse and addiction he has seen.

To all of you on this blog I would like to say that I just got out of prison for the second time because I failed my probation drug test.I had done about a 1/4 of a 40mg opana and yes I had snorted it about a week and a half befor the test and still failed and it was my first time to ever do opana.

I know someone who is prescribed40mg opana er. Twice a day.and lortab 10 mg 6x per day. He was trying to kill himself and he took 12 opana at once.and about 12 or so lortabs,he fell asleep ,but he woke up next morning sick and throwing up all day. That should have been enough to kill a horse.why didn't he die from this?

If you seriously believe that Percocet isn't an Opiate, you are too high!!! ANY Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Hydromorphone (Dilaudid, Fentanyl), Oxymorphone (Opana, etc), Roxycodone (30mg, 15mg), ALL ARE OPIATES!!! Tramadol, Ultram & ANYTHING that is an NSAID is NOT. All of the ones I listed as Opiates ARE SYNTHETIC OPIATES ( EVEN HEROIN & MORPHINE ARE SYNTHETIC OPIATES!!!)!!! The ONLY NON-SYNTHETIC OPIATE IS PURE OPIUM FROM THE POPPY PLANT!!!

No,I will show up on urine test within 6 to 12 hrs.Maybe even 3 hrs.It pulls off the pain receptors very fast.With an instant release tab you can start feeling withdraw symptoms within 8 hrs of last dose. Thank you "Medicine man 33". Because of the easy abuse of Opana, Walgreen will not fill Opana unless they are all but taken by the neck and threatened. Even when the pain clinic calls & tells them there is absolutely no problem with the patient...I took my business to another small pharmacy, no prob.....I've been with Walgreens for 25 yrs with all kinds of different types of meds. Never again. When my doctor lowered my perc amt. per mo. and put me on Opana ER, I went 3 days w/o meds because Walgreens was lying & screwing around until my doctor called personally & got to the bottom. In fact she was the one that suggested the other pharmacy....so yes, everyone, good or bad affects us all.

No. Opana is oxycodone and a man made opiate. So people just because it says oxymorphone dosent mean that it has morphine in it. All you people posted on here are not telling ur stories right so don't get everyone confused please...

There sure are a lot of morons on this forum! Oxycodone will show up, but it also metabolizes down to oxymorphone by the liver, along with another metabolite or so. If you only take Opana, oxycodone will not show up, but it is impossible for oxymorphone not to show up in a urinalysis for oxycodone that is sent for lab testing. Strip testing can be iffy if the level is not high enough. I'm only a bit unclear how long it takes before it does show up in urine after consumption. Ask a doctor, and he MAY know.
