I want to have a few drinks this weekend and I was wondering how many days I should be off.

It would really be best to stay on your medication and forgo the alcohol. It tends to exacerbate the side effects, so it could make you more dizzy, drowsy and nauseous than usual. Even if you stop taking it, you're likely going to experience some withdrawal effects, which will probably also be worsened by the alcohol.

If your doctor approves of your imbibing, then please make sure that you aren't driving.

Viibryd has a half-life of 24 to 25 hours and it takes 5 to 6 half-lives to be fully processed out of your body, so you'd be looking at needing a break of at least 5 to 6 days, but as I said, that doesn't do away with the possible withdrawal effects.

Thank you very much. I think I'll just chill this weekend. I really wish there was something that would allow me to not be the designated driver. No drinking, not even every once in a while, sucs big time.

Alcohol is also a depressant, so it could just compound a lot of problems for many people, anyway.

I have been on viibryd for 9 days I have stopped is making me sick not be able to sleep so what I want to know is it is it going to make a difference to stop taking it if I have only had 9 doses

I was on 40mg generic Prozac per day. I have been on it for years and noticed that I have developed intolerable itch! I don't have a rash,I drink a lot of water,use oils and lotions and eat very healthy.....I have come to the conclusion that it's the Prozac! I stay up all night with anxiety because of how bad the itchy crawly skin is ,until I finally pass out around 4:30/5am. I'm not sure how long this will last but I have heard if you go off Prozac,u can have slight withdrawals.although, this is extreme!!!!

I've Experienced All the usual side effects of this horrible drug! I was on 40 Mg for 2 days when I just could not take it anymore. My Dr. told me to go back to my Prozac but I just could not do it! My body just wanted to be free of all those awful feelings! As soon as I quit my whole body has been itching from head to toe, day and night! No rash, just itch! This in turn is causing me Anxiety. Just wanting to know, Is there any one person who has experienced this and will it ever go away?!
