How long do you have to quit taking clonazepam to pass a drug test?
Re: Verwon (# 1)
Is there a way i can clean it outta my system faster?
This message is untrue. I took .5 mg maybe 5 of them and i failed a mouth swab 7 days later.
Does it take 4 months to get This medication out of your system . I have a friend that is taken it and this is what she says? Lee
Well this doctor needs to be reported! You should NEVER quit any kind of medication cold turkey, EVER. I know a lot about medications for I have worked in a pharmacy for 15 years. Do not ever let a doctor tell you that you can get off of a medication cold turkey, you should always taper off a medication whether it be a depression pill or anxiety pill. Always taper!
Hello iam on clonazepam 0.5 mg for
About 6 months now. But iam noticing
That it's doesn't do anything or don't even feel the side effects like the relax feeling like before. Does this mean i need a higher dosage. I have very bad anxiety and panic attacks. Any advice will be appreciated.
Hello, I have been taking klonopin for only the last 2 months...my doctor told me to go off of it a month ago Bc I am currently on Xanax and he felt that being on the two was dangerous but I was scared that I'd withdrawal from it and just a few days ago I finally stopped it altogether. I have a drug test with that Doctor who prescribes me the Xanax on August 3rd, 2016 and the klonopin had been prescribed by another doctor and he just didn't want me on it anymore...he only wants me on my Xanax in which he prescribes, not the other doctor who had me on the klonopin....will from now till the 3rd be enough time for the klonopin to leave my system Bc he does not want to see it in there? Scared I will test positive for it anyway...
terry - I have been using these for 5 mo. 5 mg. 3 times daily for panic attacks and anxiety- I,ve cut them in halves now because I only suffer in winter- after reading all these stories I now know why I think I need more- that's it for me - I was wondering why I felt like I was in a different world - my head shakes and I feel my nerves moving through my body- no more and thank you everyone for sharing ")
Awful drug, I know I'm hooked on them.
It can take up to six days for the medication to completely leave your system...but the rate at which it decays out of your body depends on many factors. Everyone is different. This is a long acting benzo, unlike it's cousin Xanax, which is short acting and leaves the body much faster. I'm a chemist and everyone is always asking me how to pass a drug test...what can they do...on and on. The only thing I can tell them is DON'T TAKE THE DRUGS!!! GC/Mass Spec can detect ppt. That's parts per trillion. What does that mean in terms the average person can understand? Imagine an apple floating in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and THAT'S that ppt is. Bottom line is that if they use this detection method they WILL find it. I used to take Xanax then asked to be switched to clonazepam because it's side effects are much less dramatic. Xanax made me feel like I was having an out-of-body experience and I always felt like I was in a fog. Xanax is a really bad med which has been way over prescribed. Those are the reasons why I decided to switch. I was taking 0.5 mg 2X/day of clonazepam. I had an appointment with my doctor to talk about getting off the drug and, of course, it was cancelled due to an "emergency". So, I got mad, went home, flushed my meds down the commode and quit cold turkey. I also quit Ambien, at the same time...also cold turkey. Withdrawal is not pleasant and I had a very rough go of it. However, I'm doing just fine now and wonder why I was even taking those meds to begin with. I don't recommend what I did to anyone who's on a higher dose of clonazepam. You can have seizures, strokes and many other horrible things happen to your body...up to and including death. Talk to your doctor in order to titrate off the medication safely. And as a final note...PLEASE DON'T START TAKING THESE MEDS if you don't have to. They're nasty, addictive and cause harm to your body. If you do need them for a short time, that's one thing...but I do NOT recommend long term use. Good luck.
I hope you are off by now, Ive been taking it for around 15 yrs. Ive tapered myself off to about an 1/8, of a 2mg. My body still feels withdrawals if I dont take it. I have been cut of my doctor bcz I hadnt seen him in over 6 months. One prescription of #90 lasted me that long. So today I called to make an appntmnt on learned they closed my file. I hope its dosnt take too long coming off. Good luck n God bless to everybody coming off any med.

how long does withdrawal from Klonopin last? I took a large amount over a month's period and had to stop cold turkey; I have had chills and sweating at night, shaking, extrere nervousness
I am in process of getting off now. It just has made me so tired 24/7. Hard to maintain my life tired all the time. Is this normal with Klonipin? Now getting off I get bad chills and shakes. This is not fun. Now the question is what will my doctor put me on
when you finish your last dose . it will take about up to 48 hours to completely leave your system . However if you have been on this medication for a while . there is always a chance of Post acute withdrawal . Typically it is only for for habitual users . But it can effect almost anyone on the medication for a while . Also you have to understand that your physician put you on this medication for a reason.
Panic attacks are best treated by benzodiazepines , But Klonopin ( Clonazapam) is the least addictive of all of them . Good luck .
Xanax withdrawal is the absolute worst and should only be done in rehab. But klonapin can be substituted for xanax without a problem. Due to the long half life of klonapin you can then safely taper off by cutting down a quarter of a miligram every four or five days. Tapering off off xanax is nearly impossible.
Well then you MUST be a super hero and ALLLLL these other people must just be whinning for the sake of hearing and reading to themselves. You are thoughtless. THAT is why you were in your predicament.
I took 35 number ones and have to be revived but my sight is messed up cannot focus straight and is blurry I never had eye problems before will they go away if so how long
