How Long Does It Take For Vistaril Take To Work? (Top voted first)

I just got prescriped this hydroxyzine Pam 50mg every 6 hours as needed. My anxiety is really bad right now and I took the pill hours ago and it's not helping. How long does his normally take to kick in?

In such cases, this antihistamine is used for its sedative like effects and it should start working within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.

Well I did take it at work and noticed I became very sleepy and slurred speech with, would this be due to this medication?

andrea#yes it makes me the same way slurred speech and sleepy it's an antihistamine so it's meant to calm your hole body down
