How Long Does 5mg Oxycodone Last

I would like to chime in here. If all possible do not take oxycontin er. I have been on them for 7 years now. I was taking Norco for a muscle disease I got for chemicals when I was in the army. I had a heart attack later on and my doctor at the time said I had to take these OXY. That it was safer if I knew what I know know I would have punched him in the mouth. I was on 140 mg er. I am now chemically dependant on them. It's miserable up and down wake up in the morning in full blown withdrawals. I have been self tapering myself off of them. This is a very very miserable. I am now down to 10 mg 3 times a day. Getting ready to go to ir's. I dropped 10mg ever couple of weeks to get here. I will never take another opiate when I can get off. If you are in my boat I am here to say you can do it. Not going to say it's not hard but if you are serious and determined it can be done. If you have a support chain. I have my wife it makes it easier. I let you all know how when I am completely off. So far been about 2 months. Just remember don't try to decrease to quick. You know your body best.

It's truly a shame that so many of these "dangerous" side effect ridden medications can even pass FDA approval as a noteworthy prescription drug... but that goes to show where their vested interests are and why we can't become fully dependent on a system that doesn't care about the patient's health or well-being; only the profits you bring to them through regular Dr. visits. I know quitting any substance after long term treatment is always easier said than done, but there are other options available to man-kind that can help alleviate opiate withdrawal and even aid in providing at least some degree of pain relief, such as kratom, medical marijuana / CBDs, turmeric, a raw vegan diet, consistent exercise (even long walks if that's all you're capable of). Don't let life get you down to where you think that only one thing can help. Keep the hope alive and fight the good fight for as long as you're able! Believing is half the battle!
