How Long Do I Have To Wait Take Suboxone After A Few Days Of Being On Just Morphine? (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I was previously on suboxone for three years and relapsed on morphine for about three days now and want to start my suboxone back up, but I'm not sure when to take it. I think I will try 1mg of Subs and see what happens in a few hours and if I'm sick I'll just take another morphine........crazy I thought I was good til they were in my hands again. The last morphine 30 I took was yesterday morning and the last 15 I took was at 11pm last night. Any suggestions?

Be ware of taking Sub too soon after Morphine whether it be three days or three weeks!!!! Morphine binds very, very strongly to the receptors and you can and prob will throw yourself into a horrible withdrawal so please be careful. I took Morphine (MS CONTIN) and I waited at least five days and thought I would be okay only to find that that was a huge mistake for sure - did same again but after 7 days!!!!! So - you have to wait at least that and then some - talk with a doctor to see if he/she can substitute the morphine with something else like Dilaudid - take that for a week so the receptors will be tricked into thinking they are still being given the morphine and then take the subutex a few days later. Please tho talk with the doctor about all of this first - that is really important and if he/she is cool and thinks a bit out of the box BUT is also ethical - then you can figure a way to avoid any precipitated withdrawal.
