How Long After Taking A Suboxone Can You Use 30mg Of Morphine

I have been taking 60mg of Morphine daily for a year. This past week I took 3-4 8mg Dilaudids daily. Last night I went back to 60 mg Morphine. This morning I took 6mg of Suboxone and was in withdrawal 20 minutes later. I had to take a 1 mg Xanax and fell asleep. I am worried about tomorrow. I have no more Subs but I do have a 60mg Morphine. How long should I wait to take the Morphine?

Go see a Doctor and stay on suboxone if you wish to turn your life around. You got sick on suboxone as you took it way too soon after taking morphine and put yourself into precipitated withdrawal. Combining opiates with xanax puts you at much higher risk of overdose and death. Get help please

I took 4mg of sub at 9am will I still feel the opiate if I do it around 3 or 4 pm today??

Based on the timing of your suboxone dose, it's possible that you may still be able feel some effects from opiates by 3-4pm. However I wouldn't count on it being nearly as effective as it could be unless you were to wait at least 12-24 hours (i.e. the average length of suboxone's half life). So personally I don't think it's worth wasting any medication by only giving yourself a 6-7 hour window. If you can hold out for a little longer I'd imagine the level of pain relief would be well worth the wait.

Does anyone else have thoughts to add?

You have to be off @ least 3 days. By then the desire will dissipate. Thats the point of being on subs. The Half-Life is long usually 3 days or more depends on the sub dosage. Your wasting the morphine....

I have been on Oxycodone for 6 yrs. Yesterday I started 8mg suboxone to clean the oxy out of my body because I became addicted to Oxycodone. I have crohn's disease. Would suboxone help me to be active and normal again? Thanx.

Yes!!!!! It is a miracle drug .... eliminates cravings and wd..... but, depends on dosage a lot of people are mis informed on this drug stick to ether one or two strips a day

Yea the subutex or suboxone will bring back a normal life for you. But don't be fooled your trading one addictive drug for another. And with me it does NOT kill the craving's after two weeks of taking subs I wanted to blow my brains out (not literally) but I did want to feel euphoria again so I never could stick with the sub regime. I always go back to my number one, the oxymorphone 30mg ER!! Now EVERYONE is different so don't let my story stop you from trying. Some people I know have been on subs for 6-7 years and it's the same thing, they get sick and go into withdrawals if they don't have their subs. So like I said your trading out one addiction for another. There is no MIRACLE DRUG. I just wanted you to know this before you started subutex. Also if you decide it's not for you your screwed to try and go back to pain management cause they make you sign a piece of paper saying no doctor will EVER write you a script for opioid's again!!! So make sure your really ready. Well I wish you the best and good luck on whichever you choose. Keep me posted, I would really like to know how it goes.
