I've been on suboxone for about four yrs, but the last two at this one doctor and been great for two years, not once messed up, and now they had found xanax in my system which was only a half blue one, and this last month they called and left me a reminder and everything seemed ok. well the day of my appt they called me as im driving to see them and tell me they're putting me out cause of the xanax (a month ago) and then kicked me out after they remind me of my appt. And they know im out of my med cause well thats where i was going. Bottom line, last month or whenever they i said i failed this drug panel for xanax, isnt when they were kicking me out. They remind me of my appt the day of kicking me out and dont even give last script or anything to help me. They're using something from a month or so ago on me now but everything was fine up until the appt this month. Can they see that it was not but a half of a blue xanax and can they do this cause I've been good for two yrs and no complaints, and now im in hell cause of this. I need help.

Hello, Mike! How are you? I'm very sorry about what happened.

However yes, they can do that. No doctor is obligated to treat you, unless you're in immediate life threatening danger. Thus, they can drop you as a patient, at any time, for whatever reason they see fit. It works the same for you, you can stop seeing them, at any time you deem fit, and see a different doctor.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Regardless of how they handled it, you did breach your treatment contract, if you weren't supposed to be taking anything else.

Have you tried seeing if another doctor in you area will see you?
