Help...i Am Unable To Get My Meds
UpdatedI am a 58 yr old female that was hit by a car while walking across the street. Since that time my pain level has been managed by my Dr. with non-narcs & over the last 1l4 years has advanced to a narcotic. At this time I use CVS Pharmacy as recommended by my part D. Insurance. For the last month I have had a GREAT deal of difficulty in getting my much needed medication. As a result of this accident I have some CRUSHED DISCS in my neck which causes severe pain in my neck, bottom of my skull, both arms involving All joints.....I also have almost constant muscle spasms in both my upper & lower back. MY PROBLEM is the inability to get the medication the PAIN MANAGEMENT DR has prescribed. My last visit to this DR. was on / around the 12th of May. I drove to 8 different CVS. stores, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aide & a small independent pharmacy.
I found MOST pharmacist were rude & ignorant probably due to the frustration of not being able to fill a script that a long time customer has been approved by a PAIN MANAGEMENT DR. that also included the diagnosis for the med. I was forced to try mail order, paid the post office to overnight the script, called that pharmacy to have ALL demographic information on file to expire the process...paid this pharmacy extra money--- $23.00-- to expedite the process & 8 days later I am still WITHOUT ANY MEDICINE..... IN SEVERE PAIN. I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE MAIL ORDER COMPANY TELLING ME IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 5 to 7 Days to get my medicine. Can anything be done??? Is there Someone I can call or write??? I understand the need for regulations but this is going to the other EXTREME!!!
