Hair Follicle Drug Test And Oxycodone (Page 12) (Top voted first)

I am prescribed oxycodone 10mg taken 4 times daily. I take them as directed. I recently took a 5 panel hair follicle test and it came back negative on everything. Does anyone know a reason that this would not show up on a hair test? I did not have my hair colored or bleached in over two years and I did not take anything to try to alter the results. Thanks!

If your hair is 1.5 inches long and they do the extended opiate panel you might have some trouble passing. It could go either way because there is a two week window as the hair grown above the scalp.

I took 45 mg of oxycodone a week ago. I have a hair test coming up in a week. I'm not taking it frequently and my hair is short (quarter inch). In fact, that is the only thing I have taken in 6 months.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. One time use does not show up on a hair drug test.

Could you please help me. My husband never takes pain meds, however , he fell at work and hurt his inner thigh to the point if tears and not being able to move without severe pain. I have him one oxycodone 7.5 that i had been perscribed years back that i never took.he know has been called in for an interview/drug test for a new job that could change our familys life. What are the chances of this showing up (hair,blood,etc.) Should we just kiss this oooortunity goodbye ?

I took 4 Oxycodone pills 55 days ago. They were 10mg in a 12-hour period. Will that show on a hair follicle test I took today?

That small of an amount will never show up on any drug test. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.

My husband has a pre-employment drug test on the horizon and the internet has got us worried.

He quit using Marijuana 5+ months ago (let’s call it 5). Before that, his use was weekly at most in in low doses. He also took 7-or-so hydrocodone (10/325) over a three week period starting 6 weeks ago. Based on your previous replies, his head hair is too short to test and the information you provided on body hair has me worried.

Thoughts?

We use to say head hair would give a 6-12 month time frame. But now I tell people it gives an indeterminate time frame. He might have some trouble passing for marijuana. I think the hydrocodone use could go either way. If he can put off the test until his head hair is 1.5 inches he would be better off. In the mean time you could do your own Anonymous Hair 5 Drug Panel with Extended Opiates will give you an idea where he stands.

I took a Tylenol Codeine pill on nov 28 and last night I took a Hydrocodone. Now I’m told I will receive a interview and after will be the drug test. If it is a hair follicle test would these 2 pills show up I believe it will be a month month and a half from now?

I took a Tylenol 3 nov 28 and a Hydrocodone last night. I just found out I will be contacted for a interview. The test will be after, if I have a hair follicle will I pass? Should I even bring up these medications. I do not have a script for the Tylenol 3’s they were my husbands. But I do have a script for the Hydrocodone 2 years ago.

That amount of drug most likely will not show up on a hair drug test. In general, you would have be doing a drug 1-2 times a week for it to show up.

6 weeks ago my ear canal wall burst due to infection. My wife has percocet from a baby delivery over two years ago. So I couldn't get into the doctor for 2 weeks. I took maybe 10 percocet over a 5 day period. I just took a hair folical test. It was a 5 panel expanded for opiates. Am i going to fail? Will they ask for a perscription?

My best guess is that you might be positive for oxycodone. If you have 1.5 inches of hair on the head the test would go back 90 days. If it is positive and you don't have a script it might not be good. I guess it all depends on why you had the test and who asked for it.

Because a standard 5 panel Urine and Hair Follicle test does not look for Hydrocodone or Oxycodone. It looks for Codeine, Heroin and Morphine. Oxy or Hydro are NOT derivatives of these. Now, if you take a 5 Panel Expanded test, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone will show!

10 30mg oxycodone taken for a 2 week period. Last one taken mid August. Hair follicle test with extended opiates due in a week. Chance of passing?

Not sure if you asking a question but hydrocodone and oxycodone will show up on a Hair 5 with extended opiates. In the Hair 5 Drug Panel Test only codeine, morphine and heroin are the opiates tested for.

Thanks for your contributions to this discussion. Can you contrast dose vs frequency for the purposes of detection in hair? Oxycodone 20mg taken in a single dose vs 5mg taken four times over a 7 day period for example. In any given 90 day sample window, would those two 20mg amounts show up differently or is a person only looking at the total number of mg taken in the 90 day window of the sample? If so, what number of mg of oxycodone would you generally expect to see kick above the standar cutoff for the 90 day window?

I took 9 Hydrocodone-acetamin 10-325mg pills over 30 days in December. I took a hair test for employment on January 10. The test says 501 hair am co opom ph. I took nothing prior to December and nothing after December 30. Will I pass the drug test?

On 11/28/17 I had shoulder surgery. I was prescribed 45 5mg Oxycodone. The last two pills were taken on 1/9/18. I am assuming, by any standard, that this will be a failed follicle test, right.
