Green Pill Gabapentin

I have been taking Gabapentin 600mg. in a light green oval tablet for 6 mo. for neuro pain. Each morning with no side effects. My last prescription was a white oval tablet with APO on one side and Gab.600 on the other side. I quickly brought this to my pharmacists attention. He reassured me it was the same thing. Since Iv been taking it 1 week I feel bad. Im weak, poor balance,sleep around the clock, and cant remember common words. Any idea would really help.Thank you.

Hello, Ann! How are you feeling? Sorry about the problem that you're having.

There is a chance that it's due to side effects from the medication, or these symptoms could be entirely unrelated. Some of these anticonvulsants that affect brain chemicals can cause such issues with long-term use.

Have you consulted your doctor, yet?

Hello Verwon: Thank you so much for the advice! I have been taking Neurontin for 10 months. I found some of the grey green tabs. I had in a spare purse and am taking them with no side affects at all. It is only when I take the new white tabs with APO on one side and GAB 600 on the other side that I feel weak , no balance etc. As you suggest I will be going to see my doctor. I am grateful to you , Ann.

That is the same thing that has happened to me!! I am so aggravated by this!! I am 35 years old with 2 small chikdren & all I want to do is sleep. I have been taking the green ones for almost 5 years from a trauma I experienced that left my nerves in my neck damaged. I have also gained 13 pounds in the last 2 months I've been on them & I have type 1 diabetes for the last 23 years so it's makes it very hard to lose the weight. It has left me VERY depressed. I am looking for a pharmacy that still carries the green ones in central Kentucky, any help would be so appreciated!!

I'm gonna say placebo effect with you! They are the EXACT same meds, one difference and it's the COLOR! You think there different bc of color so u have Talked ur self in to thinking there different

not the same...not at all.

correct only the activas by teva green tablet r636 are the only decent ones made in america that work well other than greenstone made in the states as well work. all others are garbage imo. only take fill with activas greens which are the only green tablets or greenstone white tablets. all others are made out the states and cause severe headaches and stomach issues and do not work nearly like the activas teva r636. took me forever to find them cause they are so low on stock on this generic. after a day worth of calls and looking i was able to find them in one of the wealthiest towns in my city at a walmart. amd i dont deal with cvs walmart or walgreens they just dont care of nor go out their way for their consumers and patients. i was lucky to find the green activas r636s. greenstone is also a great choice but s white tablet like most generics and easy to mix up with a crappy one but yes only fill with greenstone and that if u absolutely cannot find the green activas by teva r636 ones. God bless! they are not time released no they are jist 600mg but il tell u what u have the hest generic for the 600mg amd these r636 by activas teva are the only green tabets and only ones that are smooth amd work well beside greenstone. took me forever to find these activas r636 ones happy i did so smooth compared to any others. trust me u have the jest generic and a very rare generic if u jave the green r636s keep wit em imo all others are trash amd nothing but side effects. no they are not time released. u wud need gaba xr / er if they even make them for time release. u got the best any gaba user could ask for. no side effects with the only green gaba 600s greenstone is second choice they are white all others are trash. i see a lot of ACI pharma ones going around. only fill for greenstone whites or the only green gabas by activas by teva pharma

I have been on gaba 600mg for about 6 years now for Trigeminal nueralgia. I take the green pills ONLY!! I have tried the white ones but they DO NOT work. I get break through pain in my face with the white ones. I DO NOT break through with the green ones so I know there is a difference. The white ones do not work for me at all. My pharmacy (walmart) orders the green ones especially for me at my request.

Each drug's pill is made by different manufacturers. The pharmacy will GENERALLY go with the cheapest generic or brand name manufacturer. Sometimes they choose more reliable ones if they get enough complaints about their effectiveness. ALWAYS let your pharmacist know even if your experiences are dismissed as individual sensitiveness or preference. If they get enough complaints they will change to a better manufacturer. Also, they oftentimes carry more than one brand. ASK THEM if they have another, or ask another pharmacy. I took gab 300 capsules for yrs without problems, but when my dr convinced me to switch to 600's to lessen the quantity of pills, I got that white tablet you were speaking of and suffered for a month before my dr switched me back. However, I found later on that there are SOME that work, but I prefer to stay with what works BEST for my particular system.
