Hi. I am a 54 yr old indian female diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am on glycomet 3\850 before meals. My fasting, before lunch and random are 109 ff, 100 before lunch and 167 random. My concern is after walking for 40 minutes and a moderate breakfast veg, my pp is always high 157 - 200. Where am I going wrong? Kindly help.

This medication should be taken, just before a meal, so that it is working by the time you are digesting your food and will experience the most fluctuations.
The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence, and diarrhea.
Do you watch your diet to make sure you don't eat a lot of sugary or fatty foods?
