Gabapentin 600 Mg Twice A Day

I was taking gabapentin 400mg 2x a day. Dr bumped me up to 600 2x a day, and I feel unsteady and wired in the head. Will my body adjust to it? Also he prescribed klonipin 1mg at bed.

Yes, it is normal to experience side effects, any time your dosage is raised and they should taper off in about 4 weeks or so, once your body gets used to the new dosage. Typical side effects of Gabapentin may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain.

Klonopin is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders, though it can also help with insomnia. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
