Hello, Phyllis! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.
It will actually most likely be the doctors that you'll have a problem with, most will not prescribe pain medications for someone that has had a prior addiction issue. It may be easier for you to just stick with Suboxone, or to use Methadone.
The FDA classifies these medications as being narcotic, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Have you tried the search engine on the Suboxone website? Suboxone.com click here it lets you search by zipcode for doctors in your area.
