Hai, My wife is suffering from Rheumatic Arthritis and joint pains for the past 2 years. From Nov 2011 onwards she was advised to take Deflazocort 6mg, Etodolac 400mg, Nurokind LC, Calten D (all these daily) along with Folic acid and Folitrax combined weekly once. Her SGPT was previously 20 - 22 and now it was increased to 47. Is it because of the folic acid or folitrax. can any one suggest what to do. Now she is feeling a little dousy, Heart shivering etc..

i am suffering from wheezing problem for past 10 years, now doctors have prescribed folitrax 7.5mg. what is the role of this tablet?

Dear Friends, My wife was suffering from RA and the doctor suggested methotrexate (Folitrax-20 MG / Week) this medicine reduced her immune system as a result of which (With in one year of treatment) she developed Severe Sepsis followed by ARDS as result of which I lost my loving wife in a just 3 days time ... hence ask your doctor before starting the medicine

I am lupus patient from past 17 yearsnow my ANTI DSDNA report is Positive ++ ,and the count is 622
now my doctor sujested to use folitrax 5mg & startes usuing wyslone dAILY 7.5MG. But from past 8 yrs iam using HCQS.

At present iam using

calcium 1600mg daily
ecosprin 75mg 1tab daily
nexito forte 1tab daily
Dolwin daily 2tab
Ropraz 20mg
polybion tab 1 daily
HCQS daily i tab except sunday
Folitrax 5mg daily 2 tab except sunday

lst week my doc has referd thsi Folitrax 5mg tab

from the day i started using this Folitax 5mg tab morning hours ian getting sweting,feling tired and and some times getting pain in chest

most importentely from 2 yrs my eye is blured
when my opthomologist asked me to stop HCQS ,my doctor who is treating my LUPUS diease told that ishould not stop HCQS as my ANTI DSDNA count is 622 and there r chances to affect my kidneys

i regularely visit my doc from past17 yrs

but now iam confused with this new medicens

so i badely some of the best doctors sugesstions

and shall i use folitrax 5mg daily except sunday
and shall i continue HCQS or else can u sujust any other medicene inbehalf of HCQS

I have psoriasis & diabetes. My blood sugar was in control with glycomet 500. But since a month or 2 when I took folitrax for a month as advised by my skin doctor, my bllod sugar has increased. I have tried to be more systematic with food and lifestyle habits. Even then my sugar level is high. Does folitrax have any role in it?

Dear Friends ,
Plz start the Folitrax (Methotrexate) dose as per adviced by your Doctor. Keeping in mind that is is a weekly dose tab. also donot worry about high dose.it is simple a therapeutic dose as per your disease condition.

I am sufferring from body stiffness perticularly in morning time,Doctor has diagnosed as psrasiasis arthrocite and advised for folitrax 7.5 mg + 5.0 mg ( Sat /Sunday dose) per week. Kindly advice whether it is to be taken immediately or to start with lesser dose.
