Folitrax 10mg

I am taking folitrax10mg tablets once a week. I also take ARAVA 10 mg daily as prescribed my doctor.
I am under this treatment for Rhematoid arthriti for the last 3 months.. I also take etodoloc 300mg once a day.
I feel better now .
What are the possible side effects.

Folitrax contains the active ingredient Methotrexate, it is used to treat autoimmune disorders, because of its ability to suppress the immune system and keep the body from attacking itself, as is the case with RA.

Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, anemia and increased risk of bruising.

Etodolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, used to treat pain, fever and swelling.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation.

Arava contains the active ingredient Leflunomide, it helps treat the pain and lessens the damage to joints.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, liver damage and anemia.

To be quite honest, if I was taking a combination of these medications, I would want to be very careful about what they did to my stomach, since they can all cause stomach irritation, in one form or another, and this can lead to conditions, such as ulcers or gastritis. I'd discuss it with my doctor, to make sure it was safe and, if they agreed, I'd add a regular dosage of something such as Pepcid or Prevacid, both they and their generics are available over the counter in most countries.

Allow me to assure you tht gastritis is a very miserable condition, that you don't want to experience.

I am taking Naprosin 250 mg twice a day and folitrax 10 mg once aweek for Rhuematoid Arthritis. my age is 46 years and an extensive traveller. My weight is incresed during the course to an extent of 5 kg in 4 months. can you tell me what would be side effects of these and ins the weihgt increase is because of these drugs.

Dear Sir, am 47 year old and i weigh about 77 kgs. suffering from RA since 5 years. and am now taking Prednisolone 5Mg in the morning and 5Mg at night. Please stop all other medicines such as ARAVA, Leflunomide, Folitrax-Methotrexate, which over a period of 6-8 months can cause a lot of severe side effects, my eyes became very extremely sensitive to light, thats when i realised that its the side effect of Methotrexate, that is Folitrax. For heavens sake please stop, Folitrax , HCQS-hydroxy Chloroquinn sulphate , start taking in more and more of folic acid, a vital vitamin. take Any NSAID, non steroidal anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac sodium 50Mg, only when you feel the pain. Pl drink more and more of Green tea as it helps keep your liver healthy and also reduces the swelling and pain caused by RA-rheumatoid arthritis.
